A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

WARNING: OPEN THE PROBE HEATER CIRCUIT-BREAKERS 1DA1(2), 3DA1(2,3), 4DA1(2,3) AND 5DA1(2,3) BEFORE ENG1(2)FADEC A and EIU 1(2) C/B'S 2KS1 AND 2KS2. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS SEQUENCE:

THE PROBES WILL BECOME TOO HOT.
THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT AND INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL.

(1) Open the fan cowls: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)
(2) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(3) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)

(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.

4. Procedure
Subtask 71-51-43-020-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the ECU (Channel A) to Thrust Reverser Junction Box Harness (4213KS).

NOTE: To open the flip-lock clamps and line blocks, turn the captive screws or captive bolts 1/4 turn counterclockwise to disengage the cam nuts.

NOTE: Loosely attach the clamp(s), anti-rotation lug(s) if applicable, and bolt(s) to the brackets from which they were removed to make it easier for installation.

(1) Disconnect the electrical connector 4007VC-A from the harness junction box.

(2) Open the line blocks (10), (15) and (20) that attach the harness (5) to the brackets.

Lower Right Fan Zone Electrical Harness (PRE SB RA32071-133) ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

Lower Right Fan Zone Electrical Harness (POST SB RA32071-133) ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(3) Open the line blocks (10), (15) and (20) that attach the harness (5) to the brackets.
(4) Remove the clamps and bolts (12) that attach the harness to the bracket.
(5) Remove the clamps and bolts (17) that attach the harness to the bracket.
(6) Remove the clamps, bolt and anti-rotation lug (18) that attach the harness (5) to the bracket.

(7) If necessary, remove the rubber supports from the line blocks.
(8) Remove the harness (5) from the rubber supports.
(9) Disconnect the electrical connector 4000KS-J5 from the ECU.
(10) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the electrical connectors.
(11) Remove the electrical harness (5) from the engine.
