(2) Remove the two screws (8), the washers (9) and the nuts (10).
(a) Visually examine the screws (8), the washers (9) and the nuts (10) for indication of damage.
1 If there are scratches, marks and/or other damage, reject the parts.
(3) Remove the locking plate system of one aft engine mount bolt.
(a) Remove the screw (1) that attaches the locking plate (2) to the retainer bracket (5).
(b) Remove the locking plate (2).
(c) Visually examine the screw (1) and the locking plate (2) for indication of damage.
1 If there are scratches, marks and/or other damage, reject the parts.
(4) Remove one aft engine mount bolt.
(a) Loosen the aft mount bolt (3) to remove the remaining torque.
(b) Remove and discard the aft mount bolt (3), the washer (4), the barrel nut (6) and its retainer (7).
(c) Visually examine the retainer bracket (5) for indication of damage.
1 If there are scratches, marks and/or other damage, reject the parts.
(d) Visually examine the engine mount hole for indication of damage. If there are scratches, marks and/or other damage, replace the aft engine mount (Ref. AMM TASK 71-22-11-000-804) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-22-11-400-804).

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-22-11-010-105-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance

YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-809). D. Get Access

WARNING:
REMOVE THE SCREWS ONE BY ONE. DO NOT REMOVE MORE THAN ONE SCREW AT THE SAME TIME. IF YOU DO, THERE IS A RISK THAT THE ENGINE WILL FALL AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
A. Removal of the Aft Engine Mount Bolts (One at a time) NOTE: This procedure is applicable to one aft engine mount bolt.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
(1) Remove the two cotter pins. (2) Remove the two screws (8), the washers (9) and the nuts (10).
(a) Visually examine the screws (8), the washers (9) and the nuts (10) for indication of damage.
1 If there are scratches, marks and/or other damage, reject the parts.
(3) Remove the locking plate system of one aft engine mount bolt.
(a) Remove the screw (1) that attaches the locking plate (2) to the retainer bracket (5).
(b) Remove the locking plate (2).
(c) Visually examine the screw (1) and the locking plate (2) for indication of damage.
1 If there are scratches, marks and/or other damage, reject the parts.
(4) Remove one aft engine mount bolt.
(a) Loosen the aft mount bolt (3) to remove the remaining torque.
(b) Remove and discard the aft mount bolt (3), the washer (4), the barrel nut (6) and its retainer (7).
(c) Visually examine the retainer bracket (5) for indication of damage.
1 If there are scratches, marks and/or other damage, reject the parts.
(d) Visually examine the engine mount hole for indication of damage. If there are scratches, marks and/or other damage, replace the aft engine mount (Ref. AMM TASK 71-22-11-000-804) and (Ref. AMM TASK 71-22-11-400-804).
NOTE: You can use a MIRROR - INSPECTION and FLASHLIGHT - HIGHPOWER.
