Fan Cowl-Door SlingSubtask 71-13-12-941-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-13-12-010-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)
(2) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position
4. Procedure(1) Open the fan cowl doors: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)

(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position
Subtask 71-13-12-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Hold-open Rod:
(1) Remove the filler plugs of the hoist points of the fan cowl door.
(2) Install the universal attach pads (15) in the hoist points on the fan cowl door (10).
(3) Attach the RSE1113 SLING-FAN COWL to the universal attach pads (15).
(4) Lift the fan cowl door (10) with the sling (5) to get access to the hold-open rod (30).
(5) Remove the bolt (45), the washer (30), the nut (35), and the spacers (20), (25) that attach the hold-open rod (50) to the mounting bracket (40).
(6) Push the lock release sleeve (55) up to release the locking pin from the retention bracket (60).
(7) Remove the forward/rear hold-open rod (50) from the fan cowl door (10).
(1) Remove the filler plugs of the hoist points of the fan cowl door.
(2) Install the universal attach pads (15) in the hoist points on the fan cowl door (10).
(3) Attach the RSE1113 SLING-FAN COWL to the universal attach pads (15).
(4) Lift the fan cowl door (10) with the sling (5) to get access to the hold-open rod (30).
(5) Remove the bolt (45), the washer (30), the nut (35), and the spacers (20), (25) that attach the hold-open rod (50) to the mounting bracket (40).
(6) Push the lock release sleeve (55) up to release the locking pin from the retention bracket (60).
(7) Remove the forward/rear hold-open rod (50) from the fan cowl door (10).
