B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.

4. Procedure

WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.

CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.

Subtask 71-13-00-440-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Remove the temporary fasteners as follows:

NOTE: This procedure is for the strake on the left fan cowl door. The procedure for the strake on the right fan cowl door is opposite.

(1) Remove the two nuts (1), two washers (2), and two bolts (4) from the fan cowl door.
(2) Remove the 15 bolts (3) and 15 washers (2) from the fan cowl door
(3) Remove the nine bolts (5) and nine washers (2) from the fan cowl door.
(4) Install the new fan cowl strake on the fan cowl door (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-07-400-801).

5. Close-up

(1) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):
