BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
WARNING:
WHEN ONE HOR IS MISSING, MAKE SURE THAT THE MAXIMUM WIND SPEED FOR THIS OPERATION IS NOT MORE THAN 40 KNOTS (74 KM/H).
INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN OCCUR IF THE WIND MOVES THE FAN COWL(S).
WARNING:
WHEN THE TWO HOR'S ARE MISSING ON THE SAME FAN COWL DOOR SIDE, DO THE WORK IN A HANGAR OR A CLOSED AREA. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION:
DO NOT EXTEND THE SLATS WHEN THE FAN COWLS AND THE THRUST REVERSER COWLS ARE OPEN. IF YOU DO THIS, DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT CAN OCCUR.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-13-00-480-053-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

(1) Closing of the fan cowl door with one HOR missing:
(a) Unlock and stow if necessary, the operative HOR (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803).
(b) Lower the fan cowl door with the fan cowl sling (3).
(c) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):

B. Removal of the Tooling
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
(2) Remove the pad universal attach (5) from the hoist points of the fan cowl door.
(3) Remove the fan cowl sling (3) from the fan cowl door.
Subtask 71-13-00-420-064-A (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
(2) Remove the pad universal attach (5) from the hoist points of the fan cowl door.
(3) Remove the fan cowl sling (3) from the fan cowl door.
C. Installation of the Filler Plugs
(1) Install the filler plugs (1) in the upper hoist points.
(2) TORQUE the filler plugs (1) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in )

(3) Install the filler plugs (1) in the lower hoist points.
(4) TORQUE the filler plugs (1) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in )
.
(5) Brush seal the fasteners with MASTINOX D40 (Material No.CPNCL00338) .
(6) Remove unwanted sealant with GENERAL CLEANING AGENT - MULTI PURPOSE (Material No.CPNCL02589) and LINT-FREE COTTON CLOTH (Material No.CPNCL02069) .
5. Close-up(1) Install the filler plugs (1) in the upper hoist points.
(2) TORQUE the filler plugs (1) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in )
. (3) Install the filler plugs (1) in the lower hoist points.
(4) TORQUE the filler plugs (1) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in )
. (5) Brush seal the fasteners with MASTINOX D40 (Material No.CPNCL00338) .
(6) Remove unwanted sealant with GENERAL CLEANING AGENT - MULTI PURPOSE (Material No.CPNCL02589) and LINT-FREE COTTON CLOTH (Material No.CPNCL02069) .

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
