WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE LANDING GEAR GROUND SAFETIES AND THE WHEEL CHOCKS ARE IN POSITION. MOVEMENT OF THE AIRCRAFT CAN BE DANGEROUS.
WARNING:
DO NOT OPEN THE FAN COWL(S) WHEN THE WIND SPEED IS 60 MPH (96 KM/H) OR MORE. INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN OCCUR IF THE WIND MOVES THE FAN COWL(S).
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL IF YOU OPEN THE FAN COWL(S) WHEN THE WIND SPEED IS 8 MPH (12 KM/H) OR MORE. INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN OCCUR IF THE WIND MOVES THE FAN COWL(S).
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE HOLD-OPEN RODS (IF INSTALLED) OF THE COWL DOORS ARE IN THE EXTENDED POSITION AND ARE ATTACHED CORRECTLY. IF NOT, THE COWL DOORS CAN CLOSE ACCIDENTALLY.
WARNING:
THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS TASK MUST BE OBEYED. IF NOT, THE COWL DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS BETWEEN THE COWL DOORS AND THE ENGINE.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU USE THE FAN COWL DOOR SLING TO HOLD EACH FAN COWL IN THE OPEN POSITION. IF THE SLING IS NOT USED, THE COWL WILL NOT BE HELD CORRECTLY AND CAN CLOSE QUICKLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE COWL.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU OPEN OR CLOSE THE FAN COWLS. THE LEFT FAN COWL WEIGHS 93 LB (42 KG). THE RIGHT FAN COWL WEIGHS 103 LB (47 KG). IF A FAN COWL FALLS, IT CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FAN COWL IS NOT OPENED TOO WIDE WHEN YOU ADJUST THE HOIST. IF THE FAN COWLS ARE OPENED TOO WIDE, IT CAN CAUSE TOO MUCH FORCE ON THE HINGE FITTINGS AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE COWL DOORS.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FAN COWLS ARE NOT IN AN OPEN POSITION WHEN THE WIND SPEED IS 8 MPH (12 KPH) OR MORE. THE SLING WILL NOT STOP THE COWL FROM OPENING WIDER. IF THE COWLS ARE OPENED TOO WIDE, YOU CAN CAUSE TOO MUCH FORCE ON THE HINGE FITTINGS AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE COWL DOORS.
CAUTION:
DO NOT TRY TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE LATCH WHEN THE LATCH IS OPEN. THE KEY CAN BE REMOVED ONLY WHEN THE LATCH IS CLOSED AND FULLY LOCKED WITH THE CLEVIS ENGAGED. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE KEY AND FLAG ASSEMBLY OR TO THE LATCH CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE TOOLS ON THE KEY AND FLAG ASSEMBLY. OPERATE THE KEY BY HAND ONLY. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE KEY AND FLAG ASSEMBLY OR TO THE LATCH CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY TOO MUCH FORCE TO TURN THE KEY IN THE LATCH. DAMAGE TO THE KEY AND FLAG ASSEMBLY OR TO THE LATCH CAN OCCUR.
