A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-11-00-010-069-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.

B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position.
4. Procedure(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position.
Subtask 71-11-00-020-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the High Speed Tape
(1) Carefully remove the high speed tape from the inlet cowl hoist point(s).
(2) Clean the inlet cowl hoist point(s) surfaces with clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and isopropyl alcohol (Material No.CP1041) .
(3) Remove the isopropyl alcohol (Material No.CP1041) with the clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) before it becomes dry.
(4) Do an inspection of the inlet cowl hoist point(s) and adjacent surfaces.
(a) Make sure that the surface finishes are in the correct condition.
Subtask 71-11-00-420-063-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Carefully remove the high speed tape from the inlet cowl hoist point(s).
(2) Clean the inlet cowl hoist point(s) surfaces with clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and isopropyl alcohol (Material No.CP1041) .
(3) Remove the isopropyl alcohol (Material No.CP1041) with the clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) before it becomes dry.
(4) Do an inspection of the inlet cowl hoist point(s) and adjacent surfaces.
(a) Make sure that the surface finishes are in the correct condition.
B. Installation of the New Insert Bolt(s)
(1) Install the new insert bolt(s) in the inlet cowl hoist point(s).
(2) TORQUE the insert bolt(s) to between 70 and 60 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.68 m.daN )

5. Close-up(1) Install the new insert bolt(s) in the inlet cowl hoist point(s).
(2) TORQUE the insert bolt(s) to between 70 and 60 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.68 m.daN )

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040):
