A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG control panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
4. Procedure(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG control panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.

A. Removal of the Inlet Cowl Access Panel Assembly and Anti-Ice Exhaust Duct Assembly
(1) Open the pressure relief door (10):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)

(2) Reach in and loosen clamp (20) that attaches the anti-ice exhaust duct assembly (30) to the anti-ice exhaust boot attachment (40).
(3) Detach the anti-ice exhaust boot attachment (40) from the anti-ice exhaust duct assembly (30).
(4) Remove the 75 bolts (50), that attaches the access panel assembly (60) to the inlet cowl.
(5) Remove access panel assembly (60).
(6) Find the anti-ice exhaust duct assembly (30) mounted on the forward bulkhead.
(7) Remove the six bolts (70) and six washers (80) that attach the anti-ice exhaust duct assembly (30) to the forward bulkhead.
(8) Remove the anti-ice exhaust duct assembly (30).
(9) Put masking tape 3M 202 (Material No.CP2185) over the anti-ice duct port located in the forward bulkhead to prevent material from entering the lip skin cavity.
(1) Open the pressure relief door (10):

(3) Detach the anti-ice exhaust boot attachment (40) from the anti-ice exhaust duct assembly (30).

(5) Remove access panel assembly (60).
(6) Find the anti-ice exhaust duct assembly (30) mounted on the forward bulkhead.
(7) Remove the six bolts (70) and six washers (80) that attach the anti-ice exhaust duct assembly (30) to the forward bulkhead.
(8) Remove the anti-ice exhaust duct assembly (30).
(9) Put masking tape 3M 202 (Material No.CP2185) over the anti-ice duct port located in the forward bulkhead to prevent material from entering the lip skin cavity.
