Inspection of the Engine in Ground Fog Icing Condition for More Than 120 Minutes


1. Reason for the Job
This task gives instructions to do an inspection of the Engine when it has operated in ground fog icing (ground icing) conditions for more than 120 minutes before takeoff.
The ice must not be present on the booster inlet (IGVs, flow splitter and flowpath panel), fan inlet and fan blades.

A. Inspection of the Fan Section
   (1) Do the (Ref. AMM TASK 72-00-00-200-817).
   (2) If necessary, remove the Ice from the booster inlet (IGVs, flow splitter and flowpath panel), fan inlet and fan blades (Ref. AMM TASK 12-31-71-660-803).
     (a) For approved consumable materials to remove the ice, refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-831).
