Special Detailed Inspection (HFEC) of Spoiler 1, Actuator Bracket
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
1. Reason for the Job- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
NOTE: The effectivity of this task is ALL. To know if this task is applicable for your aircraft, refer to the MPD task applicability and the weight variant data given in the SRM introduction.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the spoilers.
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the applicable wing at spoiler 1, zone 580(680).
Subtask 57-71-00-860-054-A (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the spoilers.
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the applicable wing at spoiler 1, zone 580(680).
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Fully extend the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(3) Make sure that the 98D27604000000 COLLAR-SAFETY, SPOILER or 98D27604004000 COLLAR SAFETY SPOILER is installed on the spoiler actuator.
(4) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is installed on the flap/slat control lever on the panel 114VU.
Subtask 57-71-00-865-055-A WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Fully extend the spoiler 1 (Ref. AMM TASK 27-60-00-866-002). (2) Fully extend the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(3) Make sure that the 98D27604000000 COLLAR-SAFETY, SPOILER or 98D27604004000 COLLAR SAFETY SPOILER is installed on the spoiler actuator.
(4) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is installed on the flap/slat control lever on the panel 114VU.
C. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the zone 582(682).
(2) Remove the actuator hinge-pin (Ref. AMM TASK 27-64-41-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the zone 582(682).
(2) Remove the actuator hinge-pin (Ref. AMM TASK 27-64-41-000-001).

A. Special Detailed Inspection (HFEC) of Spoiler 1, Actuator Bracket
(1) Do a special detailed inspection of the actuator bracket on spoiler 1 NTM 577001.
5. Close-up(1) Do a special detailed inspection of the actuator bracket on spoiler 1 NTM 577001.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 577000 for the correct repair procedure. If the defect is not included in this repair, you must request a procedure from AIRBUS.

A. Close Access
(1) Install the actuator hinge-pin (Ref. AMM TASK 27-64-41-400-001).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Retract the spoiler 1 (Ref. AMM TASK 27-60-00-866-002).
(3) Retract the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(4) On the servo-control, make sure that the pointer on the hex-head is opposite the letter O (Operation) on the housing.
Subtask 57-71-00-942-056-A (1) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Retract the spoiler 1 (Ref. AMM TASK 27-60-00-866-002).
(3) Retract the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(4) On the servo-control, make sure that the pointer on the hex-head is opposite the letter O (Operation) on the housing.
D. Removal of the Equipment
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the safety barriers.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
