Detailed Inspection of Aileron, Upper and Lower Skins, External Surface
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
1. Reason for the Job- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(1) Install the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING on the CAPT and F/O side sticks.
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) on the side sticks to tell persons not to touch the side sticks.
(3) Put the safety barriers in position.

D. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .

(1) Do a detailed inspection of the upper and lower skins of the aileron, on the external surface, for damage or discontinuities.

- There is no damage.
- There is no delamination at the edges.
- There is no delamination of the skin.
- There are no cracks or scores.
- The surface protection is in the correct condition.
(4) Do a detailed inspection of the filler between the leading edge and the upper and lower skins of the aileron.
(5) Make sure that:
- There are no cracks in the filler.
- There is no missing filler.
NOTE: The filler repair procedure must be done at the next scheduled maintenance interval for the aircraft.

B. Removal of the Equipment
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING from the CAPT and F/O side sticks.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the safety barriers.
