1. Reason for the Job- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(4) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic systems:

(2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.

(4) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic systems:
- on the ground service panels
- in the cockpit, on the HYD overhead panel 40VU.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable aileron, zone 590 (690).
(2) Make sure that these aircraft hydraulic systems are depressurized:

(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean these areas of the aileron:

- the upper and lower skins at the attachment to the trailing edge
- the outboard closing rib.
B. Detailed Inspection of Aileron Upper and Lower External Skins at Attachment to Trailing Edge and Outboard Closing Rib
(1) Examine the upper and the lower skins at the attachment to the trailing edge and the outboard closing rib. Make sure that:

- there is no damage
- there is no delamination
- there are no cracks or scores
- the surface protection is in the correct condition.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 576000 for the correct repair procedure.

B. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the safety barriers.
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the safety barriers.
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
Aileron - Upper and Lower Skins - Inspection
