MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

1. Reason for the Job- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the flaps are fully retracted (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
Subtask 57-55-11-865-080-A (1) Make sure that the flaps are fully retracted (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
C. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable flap track fairing.
(2) Remove the applicable flap track fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-004).
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable flap track fairing.
(2) Remove the applicable flap track fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-004).
Subtask 57-55-11-960-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Replacement of the Flap-Track Fairing Seals
(2) For forward fixed fairing 531AB(631AB), 532AB(632AB) or 533AB(633AB):
(a) Drill the blind rivets (3) and/or the solid rivets (4) and the washers (1) and remove them SRM 514221.
(b) Remove the seal (2).
(c) Install the new seal:
1 Clean the mating surface of the applicable forward fixed fairing with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
2 Bond the seal (2) to the applicable forward fixed fairing with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .
3 Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the blind rivets (3) and/or the solid rivets (4).
4 Install the blind rivets (3) and/or the solid rivets (4) and the washers (1) SRM 514221.
5 Clean the unwanted sealant which is on the seal (2) with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(3) For aft fixed fairing 531BB(631BB), 532BB(632BB) or 533BB(633BB):
(a) Drill the blind rivets (16) and (17) and the washers (12) and remove them SRM 514221.
(b) Remove the anti-peel strips (13) and (15) and the seals (11) and (14).
(c) Install the new seals:
1 Clean the mating surface of the applicable aft fixed fairing with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
2 Bond the seals (11) and (14) and the anti-peel strips (13) and (15) to the applicable aft fixed fairing with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .
3 Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the blind rivets (16) and (17).
4 Install the blind rivets (16) and (17) and the washers (12) SRM 514221.
5 Clean the unwanted sealant which is on the seals (11) and (14) and the anti-peel strips (13) and (15) with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(4) For movable fairing 531CB(631CB), 532CB(632CB) or 533CB(633CB):
(a) Drill the blind rivets (5) and the washers (8) and remove them SRM 514221.
(b) Remove the support angle (9) and the seals (6), (7) and (10) from top cover 531AT(631AT), 532AT(632AT) or 533AT(633AT).
(c) Drill the blind rivets (18) and (19) and the washers (21) and remove them SRM 514221.
(d) Remove the backing strip (25) and the seals (26), (20), (22), (23) and (24).
(e) Install the new seals:
1 Clean the mating surface of the applicable movable fairing with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
2 Bond the seals (20), (22), (23), (24) and (26) to the applicable movable fairing with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .
3 Put the backing strip (25) in position on the seal (26).
4 For movable fairings 531CB(631CB) and 532CB(632CB), apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) on the blind rivets (18) and (19).
5 For movable fairing 533CB(633CB), apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the blind rivets (18) and (19).
6 Install the blind rivets (18) and (19) and the washers (21) SRM 514221.
7 Clean the unwanted sealant which is on the seals (20), (22), (23), (24) and (26) and the backing strip (25) with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
8 Bond the seals (6), (7) and (10) and the support angle (9) to the applicable top cover with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .
9 Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the blind rivets (5).
10 Install the blind rivets (5) and the washers (8) SRM 514221.
11 Clean the unwanted sealant which is on the seals (6), (7) and (10) and the support angle (9) with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
Subtask 57-55-11-960-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, GLOVES AND GOGGLES WHEN YOU USE CUTTING TOOLS. INJURY CAN OCCUR.
(1) For the new seals refer to AIPC 57-55-11-.(2) For forward fixed fairing 531AB(631AB), 532AB(632AB) or 533AB(633AB):
(a) Drill the blind rivets (3) and/or the solid rivets (4) and the washers (1) and remove them SRM 514221.
(b) Remove the seal (2).
(c) Install the new seal:
1 Clean the mating surface of the applicable forward fixed fairing with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
2 Bond the seal (2) to the applicable forward fixed fairing with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .

(3) For aft fixed fairing 531BB(631BB), 532BB(632BB) or 533BB(633BB):
(a) Drill the blind rivets (16) and (17) and the washers (12) and remove them SRM 514221.
(b) Remove the anti-peel strips (13) and (15) and the seals (11) and (14).
(c) Install the new seals:

4 Install the blind rivets (16) and (17) and the washers (12) SRM 514221.
5 Clean the unwanted sealant which is on the seals (11) and (14) and the anti-peel strips (13) and (15) with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(4) For movable fairing 531CB(631CB), 532CB(632CB) or 533CB(633CB):
(a) Drill the blind rivets (5) and the washers (8) and remove them SRM 514221.
(b) Remove the support angle (9) and the seals (6), (7) and (10) from top cover 531AT(631AT), 532AT(632AT) or 533AT(633AT).
(c) Drill the blind rivets (18) and (19) and the washers (21) and remove them SRM 514221.
(d) Remove the backing strip (25) and the seals (26), (20), (22), (23) and (24).
(e) Install the new seals:
1 Clean the mating surface of the applicable movable fairing with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
2 Bond the seals (20), (22), (23), (24) and (26) to the applicable movable fairing with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .
3 Put the backing strip (25) in position on the seal (26).
4 For movable fairings 531CB(631CB) and 532CB(632CB), apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) on the blind rivets (18) and (19).
5 For movable fairing 533CB(633CB), apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the blind rivets (18) and (19).
6 Install the blind rivets (18) and (19) and the washers (21) SRM 514221.
7 Clean the unwanted sealant which is on the seals (20), (22), (23), (24) and (26) and the backing strip (25) with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
8 Bond the seals (6), (7) and (10) and the support angle (9) to the applicable top cover with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .
9 Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the blind rivets (5).
10 Install the blind rivets (5) and the washers (8) SRM 514221.
11 Clean the unwanted sealant which is on the seals (6), (7) and (10) and the support angle (9) with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
A. Replacement of the Flap-Track Fairing Seals
(2) For fixed fairing 531EB(631EB), 532EB(632EB) or 533EB(633EB):
(a) Drill the blind rivets (4) and/or (8) and the washers (3) and/or (7) and remove them SRM 514221.
(b) Remove the strips (2) and/or (6) and the seals (1) and/or (5).
(c) Install the new seals:
1 Clean the mating surface of the applicable fixed fairing with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
2 Bond the seal (1) and/or (5) and the strips (2) and/or (6) to the applicable fixed fairing with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .
3 Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the blind rivets (4) and/or (8).
4 Install the blind rivets (4) and/or (8) and the washers (3) and/or (7) SRM 514221.
5 Clean the unwanted sealant which is on the seals (1) and/or (5) and the strips (2) and/or (6) with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-Wing - Legacy (Material No.08BLA9) .
(3) For movable fairing 531CB(631CB), 532CB(632CB) or 533CB(633CB):
(a) Drill the blind rivets (9) and the washers (13) and remove them SRM 514221.
(b) Remove the nuts (15), the support angle (14), the seals (11), (12) and (16) and the screws (10) from top cover 531AT(631AT), 532AT(632AT) or 533AT(633AT).
(c) Drill the blind rivets (18) and (20) and the washers (19) and remove them SRM 514221.
(d) Remove the backing strip (24) and the seals (25), (17), (21) and/or (22) and (23).
(e) Install the new seals:
1 Clean the mating surface of the applicable movable fairing with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
2 Bond the seals (25), (17), (21) and/or (22) and (23) to the applicable movable fairing with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .
3 Put the backing strip (24) in position on the seal (25).
4 For movable fairing 531CB(631CB), apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) on the blind rivets (18) and (20).
5 For movable fairings 532CB(632CB) and 533CB(633CB), apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the blind rivets (18) and (20).
6 Install the blind rivets (18) and (20) and the washers (19) SRM 514221.
7 Clean the unwanted sealant which is on the seals (25), (17), (21) and/or (22) and (23) and the backing strip (24) with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-Wing - Legacy (Material No.08BLA9) .
8 Bond the seals (11), (12) and (16) and the support angle (14) to the applicable top cover with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .
9 Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the blind rivets (9) and the screws (10).
10 Install the screws (10) and the nuts (15).
11 Tighten the nuts (15).
12 Install the blind rivets (9) and the washers (13) SRM 514221.
13 Clean the unwanted sealant which is on the seals (11), (12) and (16) and the support angle (14) with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-Wing - Legacy (Material No.08BLA9) .
5. Close-upWARNING:

(a) Drill the blind rivets (4) and/or (8) and the washers (3) and/or (7) and remove them SRM 514221.
(b) Remove the strips (2) and/or (6) and the seals (1) and/or (5).
(c) Install the new seals:
1 Clean the mating surface of the applicable fixed fairing with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
2 Bond the seal (1) and/or (5) and the strips (2) and/or (6) to the applicable fixed fairing with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .
3 Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the blind rivets (4) and/or (8).
4 Install the blind rivets (4) and/or (8) and the washers (3) and/or (7) SRM 514221.
5 Clean the unwanted sealant which is on the seals (1) and/or (5) and the strips (2) and/or (6) with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-Wing - Legacy (Material No.08BLA9) .
(3) For movable fairing 531CB(631CB), 532CB(632CB) or 533CB(633CB):
(a) Drill the blind rivets (9) and the washers (13) and remove them SRM 514221.
(b) Remove the nuts (15), the support angle (14), the seals (11), (12) and (16) and the screws (10) from top cover 531AT(631AT), 532AT(632AT) or 533AT(633AT).
(c) Drill the blind rivets (18) and (20) and the washers (19) and remove them SRM 514221.
(d) Remove the backing strip (24) and the seals (25), (17), (21) and/or (22) and (23).
(e) Install the new seals:
1 Clean the mating surface of the applicable movable fairing with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
2 Bond the seals (25), (17), (21) and/or (22) and (23) to the applicable movable fairing with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .
3 Put the backing strip (24) in position on the seal (25).
4 For movable fairing 531CB(631CB), apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) on the blind rivets (18) and (20).
5 For movable fairings 532CB(632CB) and 533CB(633CB), apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the blind rivets (18) and (20).
6 Install the blind rivets (18) and (20) and the washers (19) SRM 514221.
7 Clean the unwanted sealant which is on the seals (25), (17), (21) and/or (22) and (23) and the backing strip (24) with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-Wing - Legacy (Material No.08BLA9) .
8 Bond the seals (11), (12) and (16) and the support angle (14) to the applicable top cover with Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) .
9 Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the blind rivets (9) and the screws (10).
10 Install the screws (10) and the nuts (15).
11 Tighten the nuts (15).
12 Install the blind rivets (9) and the washers (13) SRM 514221.
13 Clean the unwanted sealant which is on the seals (11), (12) and (16) and the support angle (14) with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-Wing - Legacy (Material No.08BLA9) .

A. Close Access
(1) Install the applicable flap track fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-004).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 57-55-11-865-081-A (1) Install the applicable flap track fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-004).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the SAFETY BARRIERS.
(5) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the SAFETY BARRIERS.
(5) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
