(1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the flaps are fully retracted (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.

(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable flap track:

for flap track 2, zone 531(631)
for flap track 3, zone 532(632)
for flap track 4, zone 533(633).

4. Procedure
Subtask 57-55-00-440-053-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Restoration of the Aircraft after Flight with the missing Flap-Track Movable-Fairing Pivot-Cover
(1) Remove the aluminium adhesive tape from the opening of the missing pivot cover.
(2) Use the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the pivot cover area.
(3) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) on the interface of the fairing.
(4) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) on the retainers (2) and the push-fit covers (1).
(5) Install the new pivot cover and the new retainer:

C. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the safety barriers.
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(6) Remove the temporary repair record from the aircraft logbook.
