WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Extend the flaps fully (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is on the slat/flap control lever.
Subtask 57-53-00-865-101-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Extend the flaps fully (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).

C. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable wing trailing edge at flap track 4, at zone 587(687).
(2) Remove access panel 533AT( 633AT) and flap track 4 fairing 533CB( 633CB) (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001).
(3) Remove outboard-flap leading-edge panel 5 (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-62-000-003).
(4) Remove and discard the covers from the applicable inspection holes.
(5) Make sure that the applicable inspection holes are clear of unwanted material.
Subtask 57-53-00-110-101-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable wing trailing edge at flap track 4, at zone 587(687).
(2) Remove access panel 533AT( 633AT) and flap track 4 fairing 533CB( 633CB) (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001).
(3) Remove outboard-flap leading-edge panel 5 (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-62-000-003).
(4) Remove and discard the covers from the applicable inspection holes.
(5) Make sure that the applicable inspection holes are clear of unwanted material.
E. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(2) If necessary, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Make sure that there is no TPS layer and if there is a TPS layer, remove it (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
Subtask 57-53-00-010-073-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do the inspection of the area. - DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(2) If necessary, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Make sure that there is no TPS layer and if there is a TPS layer, remove it (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
F. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable wing trailing edge at flap track 4, at zone 587(687).
(2) Remove access panel 533AT( 633AT) and flap track 4 fairing 533CB( 633CB) (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001).
(3) Remove and discard the covers from the applicable inspection holes.
(4) Make sure that the applicable inspection holes are clear of unwanted material.
Subtask 57-53-00-110-101-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable wing trailing edge at flap track 4, at zone 587(687).
(2) Remove access panel 533AT( 633AT) and flap track 4 fairing 533CB( 633CB) (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001).

4. ProcedureCAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do the inspection of the area. - DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(2) If necessary, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Make sure that there is no TPS layer and if there is a TPS layer, remove it (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
Subtask 57-53-00-280-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Inspection
(1) Do a special detailed inspection (endoscope) of:
Do this inspection and the MPD 575316-01 inspection at the same time (Ref. AMM TASK 57-53-00-200-013).
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100 ) for damage types, classification and corrective action.
5. Close-up(1) Do a special detailed inspection (endoscope) of:
- The internal support of the left and right outboard flaps at flap track 4 (RIB15 included)
- The fittings of the left and right outboard flaps at the front spar, and
- The internal doublers of the left and right outboard flaps.
Do this inspection and the MPD 575316-01 inspection at the same time (Ref. AMM TASK 57-53-00-200-013).
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Use Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) , cut to the correct dimensions, to make new covers for the applicable inspection holes.
(3) Install the new covers on the applicable inspection holes.
(4) Install outboard-flap leading-edge panel 5 (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-62-400-003).
(5) Install flap track 4 fairing 533CB( 633CB) and access panel 533AT( 633AT) (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-001).
Subtask 57-53-00-410-072-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Use Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) , cut to the correct dimensions, to make new covers for the applicable inspection holes.
(3) Install the new covers on the applicable inspection holes.
(4) Install outboard-flap leading-edge panel 5 (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-62-400-003).
(5) Install flap track 4 fairing 533CB( 633CB) and access panel 533AT( 633AT) (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-001).
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Use Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) , cut to the correct dimensions, to make new covers for the applicable inspection holes.
(3) Install the new covers on the applicable inspection holes.
(4) Install flap track 4 fairing 533CB( 633CB) and access panel 533AT( 633AT) (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-001).
Subtask 57-53-00-865-102-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Use Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) , cut to the correct dimensions, to make new covers for the applicable inspection holes.
(3) Install the new covers on the applicable inspection holes.
(4) Install flap track 4 fairing 533CB( 633CB) and access panel 533AT( 633AT) (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-001).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the safety barriers.
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
