PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.

- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION SYSTEM (TPS) ON THE INSPECTION AREA. IF YOU APPLY TPS ON THE INSPECTION AREA, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is on the slat/flap control lever.
Subtask 57-53-00-010-055-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Extend the flaps fully (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008). (2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is on the slat/flap control lever.
C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable wing trailing edge at flap track 3, zone 530 (630).
(2) Remove the applicable access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001):
(3) Remove and discard the covers from the applicable inspection holes.
Subtask 57-53-00-010-055-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable wing trailing edge at flap track 3, zone 530 (630).
(2) Remove the applicable access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001):
(3) Remove and discard the covers from the applicable inspection holes.
C. Get Access

(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do the inspection of the area. - DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(2) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the external surfaces of:
- the lower skin
- the attachment structure of the outboard flap support.

(1) Make a detailed inspection of the outboard flap support at track 3, including:

- RIB5
- the fitting assembly and attachment structure, internal and external
- the inner and outer doubler.
- there is no corrosion
- there are no cracks
- the protective treatment is in the correct condition.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 575321 for the correct repair procedure.
Subtask 57-53-00-410-054-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-001):
(3) Install the new inspection hole covers as follows:
(a) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) clean the external surfaces around the applicable inspection holes.
(b) Use Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) cut to the correct dimensions, to make new covers for the applicable inspection holes.
(c) Install the new covers on the applicable inspection holes.
Subtask 57-53-00-410-054-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-001):
(3) Install the new inspection hole covers as follows:
(a) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) clean the external surfaces around the applicable inspection holes.

(c) Install the new covers on the applicable inspection holes.

D. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the safety barriers.
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
