DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the slat/flap system.

(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below the applicable inboard flap at zone 531 (631).
(2) Remove the applicable inboard flap (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-61-000-001).

C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below the applicable inboard flap at zone 531 (631).
(2) Remove the applicable inboard flap (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-61-000-003).

A. Removal of the Flap Attachment Bearing

Flap Attachment Bearing - Location and Detail ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) If bearing D5757010500000 has been installed, continue as follows:
(a) Release the lockwasher (2).
(b) Use the 98D57004033000 REM.-INST. TOOL - FLAP BEARING to remove the locknut (1). Discard the locknut (9).

NOTE: The 98D27507541000 WRENCH - BEARING, FLAP TO CARRIAGE, TRACK 2, 3 AND 4 can be used as an alternative tool for this task.

(c) Remove and discard the lockwasher (2).
(d) Remove and discard the cotter pins (3).
(e) Remove the nuts (10) and the washers (4).
(f) Remove the bolts (7) and the tab-washers (6).
(g) Remove the locking device (5).
(h) Remove and discard the spherical bearing (8).
(2) If bearing D5757010500251 has been installed, continue as follows:
(a) Release the lockwasher (2).
(b) Use the 98D57004033000 REM.-INST. TOOL - FLAP BEARING to remove the locknut (1). Discard the locknut (1).

NOTE: The 98D27507541000 WRENCH - BEARING, FLAP TO CARRIAGE, TRACK 2, 3 AND 4 can be used as an alternative tool for this task.

(c) Remove and discard the lockwasher (2).
(d) Remove the nuts (9) and the washers (3).
(e) Remove the bolts (6) and the washers (5).
(f) Remove the locking device (4).
(g) Remove and discard the spherical bearing (7).
(3) If bearing F5757111320000 has been installed, continue as follows:
(a) Release the lockwasher (8).
(b) Use the 98D57004033000 REM.-INST. TOOL - FLAP BEARING to remove the locknut (9).

NOTE: The 98D27507541000 WRENCH - BEARING, FLAP TO CARRIAGE, TRACK 2, 3 AND 4 can be used as an alternative tool for this task.

(c) Discard the locknut (9).
(d) Remove and discard the lockwasher (8).
(e) Remove the nut (1) and the washer (2).
(f) Remove the bolt (4) and the washer (3).
(g) Remove the locking device (5).
(h) Remove and discard the spherical bearing (6).

(1) Release the lockwasher (6).
(2) Use the 98D57004050000 SPANNER FLAP TRACK 2 AND 3 BEARING to remove the locknut (5). Discard the locknut (5).
(3) Remove and discard the lockwasher (6).
(4) Remove and discard the cotter pins (1).
(5) Remove the nuts (9) and the washers (2).
(6) Remove the bolts (4).
(7) Remove the locking device (8).
(8) Remove and discard the spherical bearing (7).
