Special Detailed Inspection of Inboard Double Slotted Flap, Trunnion Attachment Bracket, including Inboard Trunnion, LH/RH
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
CAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION SYSTEM (TPS) ON THE INSPECTION AREA. IF YOU APPLY TPS ON THE INSPECTION AREA, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the flap/slat control lever (panel 114VU) to tell persons not to operate the flaps.
(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
Subtask 57-52-00-860-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the flap/slat control lever (panel 114VU) to tell persons not to operate the flaps.
(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
B. Aicraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is installed on the flap/slat control lever on the panel 114VU.
Subtask 57-52-00-865-086-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Fully extend the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008). (2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is installed on the flap/slat control lever on the panel 114VU.

D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the zone 581(681).
(2) Remove the access panel 581AT ( 681AT) from the upper surface of the flap.
(3) Remove and discard the covers to the inspection holes in the lower surface of the flap.
(4) Make sure that the applicable inspection holes are clear of unwanted material.
Subtask 57-52-00-110-063-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the zone 581(681).
(2) Remove the access panel 581AT ( 681AT) from the upper surface of the flap.
(3) Remove and discard the covers to the inspection holes in the lower surface of the flap.
(4) Make sure that the applicable inspection holes are clear of unwanted material.
E. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do the inspection of the area.
(2) Use Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) to clean the inspection holes.
(3) Make sure that there is no TPS layer and if there is a TPS layer, remove it (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do the inspection of the area.
(2) Use Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) to clean the inspection holes.
(3) Make sure that there is no TPS layer and if there is a TPS layer, remove it (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
Subtask 57-52-00-280-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL - DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
A. Special Detailed Inspection of Inboard Double Slotted Flap, Trunnion Attachment Bracket, including Inboard Trunnion, LH/RH
(1) Do a special detailed inspection of the trunnion attachment bracket and inboard trunnion LH/RH NTM 575223.
5. Close-up(1) Do a special detailed inspection of the trunnion attachment bracket and inboard trunnion LH/RH NTM 575223.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 575200 for the correct repair procedure. If the defect is not included in this repair, you must request a procedure from AIRBUS.
Subtask 57-52-00-410-069-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Use Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) cut to the correct dimensions, to make the new covers for the inspection holes.
(3) Install the new covers on the inspection holes in the lower surface of the flap.
(4) Install the access panel 581AT ( 681AT) in the upper surface of the flap.
Subtask 57-52-00-865-088-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Use Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) cut to the correct dimensions, to make the new covers for the inspection holes.
(3) Install the new covers on the inspection holes in the lower surface of the flap.
(4) Install the access panel 581AT ( 681AT) in the upper surface of the flap.
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Retract the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
Subtask 57-52-00-942-068-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Retract the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
D. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the access platform(s).
(2) Remove the safety barriers.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Remove the access platform(s).
(2) Remove the safety barriers.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
