Removal of the Overwing Panel Protection
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
1. Reason for the Job- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU:
Subtask 57-51-42-865-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU:
- make sure that the landing-gear control lever is in the DOWN position
- put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position adjacent to the applicable MLG, below the zone 730 or 740.
(2) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(3) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable MLG door actuator.
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position adjacent to the applicable MLG, below the zone 730 or 740.
(2) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(3) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable MLG door actuator.

A. Removal of the Overwing Panel Protection
(2) Hold the panel (1) and remove the twenty four bolts (4).
(3) Disconnect one end of the bonding lead (5).
(4) Remove the panel (1).
(5) Remove the nuts (29), the washers (28), the screws (27) and the cable clips (26) from the panel (6).
(6) Remove the nut (30), the washers (31), the screw (33) and the cable clip (32) from the panel (6).
(7) Remove the bolts (7) from the pipe clamp (8).
(8) Remove the three bolts (9) from the manifold (10).
(9) Remove the bolt (11) from the manifold (10) and disconnect the bonding lead (12).
(10) Hold the panel (6) and remove the twenty three bolts (13).
(11) Disconnect and remove the bonding lead (5).
(12) Remove the nut (25), the washer (24) and the screw (19). Disconnect the bonding lead (18) from the panel (6).
(13) Remove the nut (14), the washer (15) and the screw (17). Disconnect the lanyard (16) from the panel (6).
(14) Remove the nut (22), the washer (23) and the screw (20) Disconnect the lanyard (21) from the panel (6).
(15) Remove the panel (6).
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT ALL MANIFOLDS, PIPES AND HOSES ARE SUFFICIENTLY SUPPORTED WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL PANELS. IF MANIFOLDS, PIPES AND HOSES ARE NOT SUFFICIENTLY SUPPORTED, LEAKS CAN OCCUR.
(1) Remove the bolts (2) from the pipe clamp (3). (2) Hold the panel (1) and remove the twenty four bolts (4).
(3) Disconnect one end of the bonding lead (5).
(4) Remove the panel (1).
(5) Remove the nuts (29), the washers (28), the screws (27) and the cable clips (26) from the panel (6).
(6) Remove the nut (30), the washers (31), the screw (33) and the cable clip (32) from the panel (6).
(7) Remove the bolts (7) from the pipe clamp (8).
(8) Remove the three bolts (9) from the manifold (10).
(9) Remove the bolt (11) from the manifold (10) and disconnect the bonding lead (12).
(10) Hold the panel (6) and remove the twenty three bolts (13).
(11) Disconnect and remove the bonding lead (5).
(12) Remove the nut (25), the washer (24) and the screw (19). Disconnect the bonding lead (18) from the panel (6).
(13) Remove the nut (14), the washer (15) and the screw (17). Disconnect the lanyard (16) from the panel (6).
(14) Remove the nut (22), the washer (23) and the screw (20) Disconnect the lanyard (21) from the panel (6).
(15) Remove the panel (6).
