MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

CAUTION: THIS PART IS A REMOVABLE STRUCTURAL COMPONENT (RSC), WHICH CAN BE MOVED BETWEEN AIRCRAFT. THUS IT CAN HAVE DIFFERENT OPERATION CONDITIONS AND A DIFFERENT LIFE RECORD (FLIGHT HOURS/FLIGHT CYCLES/CALENDAR) FROM THE AIRCRAFT IT IS INSTALLED ON OR REMOVED FROM. THE OPERATOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SPECIFIC TRACKING AND CONTINUED AIRWORTHINESS OF REMOVABLE STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS. (2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

B. Get Access

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(1) Remove the applicable inboard flap (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-61-000-001).
(2) Remove the applicable No.1 flap track actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-49-000-001).
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below the applicable No.1 flap track beam (1), zone 581 (681).

B. Get Access

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(1) Remove the applicable inboard flap (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-61-000-003).
(2) Remove the applicable No.1 flap track actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-49-000-001).
(3) Remove the LH(RH) shroud box (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-15-000-001).
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below the applicable No.1 flap track beam (1), zone 581 (681).

(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below the applicable No.1 flap track beam (1), zone 581 (681).

4. Procedure

CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:

DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

Subtask 57-51-33-020-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the No.1 Flap Track Beam

WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(1) Hold the flap track beam (1).

NOTE: The weight of the flap track beam (1) is 35 kg (77.2 lb).

(2) At the X-strut:
(a) Remove the nut (2), the bolt (8), the washer (9) and the bush (10).
(3) At the forward mounting:
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pins (11).
(b) Remove the nuts (12) and the washers (13).
(c) Remove the bolts (17), the washers (16) and the bushes (15).
(d) If there are shims (14) and (18), remove them. Keep the shims with the beam.
(4) At the rear mounting:
(a) Remove the nut (20) and the bolt (22).
(b) Remove the six HiLok pins (23) and (24), and the six HiLok collars (21) SRM 514211.
(5) Remove the flap track beam (1).

Subtask 57-51-33-020-053-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the No.1 Flap Track Beam
(1) If necessary, remove the beam (25) from the aircraft structure as follows:
(a) Remove and discard the rivets (26) SRM 514211.
(b) Remove the beam (25).

WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(2) Hold the flap track beam (1).

NOTE: The weight of the flap track beam (1) is 28 kg (61.7 lb).

(3) At the front mounting:
(a) Release the lockwasher (15).
(b) Use the 98AMS172322005 WRENCH-ADAPTER to remove the nut (16).
(c) Remove and discard the lockwasher (15).
(d) Remove the bolt (11).
(e) Remove the nut (14).
(f) Remove the washer (13) and the hollow bolt (12).
(4) At the rear mounting:
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (2).
(b) Remove the nut (3), the washer (4) and the bolt (10).
(c) Release the lockwasher (6).
(d) Use the 98AMS172332002 ADAPTER-WRENCH to remove the nut (5).
(e) Remove and discard the lockwasher (6).
(f) Remove the washer (7).
(g) Remove the hollow bolt (9) and the bush (8).
(5) Remove the flap track beam (1).

A. Removal of the No.1 Flap Track Beam

WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(1) Hold the flap track beam (1).

NOTE: The weight of the flap track beam (1) is 35 kg (77.2 lb).

(2) At the forward mounting:
(a) Remove the nut (14) from the bolt (12).
(b) Remove the bolt (12) and the bush (11) from the bracket (15).
(3) At the rear mounting:
(a) Remove the nuts (6), the bolts (5) and the bushes (4).
(b) Remove the nut (8) and the bush (7) from the bolt (2).
(c) Remove the bolt (2) and the bush (3) from the bracket (10).
(d) Lower the flap track beam (1) and remove the ball pin (9).
(4) Remove the flap track beam (1).

Subtask 57-51-33-020-053-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the No.1 Flap Track Beam

WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(1) Hold the flap track beam (1).

NOTE: The weight of the flap track beam (1) is 35 kg (77.2 lb).

(2) At the forward mounting:
(a) Remove the nut (15) and washer (14) from the bolt (12).
(b) Remove the bolt (12) and the bush (11) from the bracket (16).
(3) At the rear mounting:
(a) Remove the nuts (6), the bolts (5) and the bushes (4).
(b) Remove the nut (8) and the bush (7) from the bolt (2).
(c) Remove the bolt (2) and the bush (3) from the bracket (10).
(d) Lower the flap track beam (1) and remove the ball pin (9).
(4) Remove the flap track beam (1).
