WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
1. Reason for the Job- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
Subtask 57-51-00-865-120-A (1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the applicable wing trailing edge at the false rear spar, zone 574(674).
(2) Remove the applicable access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-000-002):
(3) Open the applicable access doors (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-000-008) and (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-000-009):
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the applicable wing trailing edge at the false rear spar, zone 574(674).
(2) Remove the applicable access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-000-002):
(3) Open the applicable access doors (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-000-008) and (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-000-009):
Subtask 57-51-00-110-098-A
A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do the inspection of the area.
(2) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) , to clean the applicable inspection area.
(3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
Subtask 57-51-00-210-078-A (1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do the inspection of the area.
(2) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) , to clean the applicable inspection area.
(3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
B. General Visual Inspection of Outer Wing, Trailing Edge, False Rear Spar, Forward and Aft Faces
(1) Examine the applicable inspection area. Make sure that:

- There is no damage
- There are no cracks
- There is no corrosion
- The paint finish is in the correct condition.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 575100 for the correct repair procedure.
C. Application of Temporary Protection System (TPS)
5. Close-upCAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION SYSTEM (TPS) TYPE 3 ON THE MOVABLE COMPONENTS. USE ONLY TPS TYPE 1 GRADE 2. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, THE MECHANISMS WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY.
(1) If there is a TPS layer, do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001): NOTE: Airbus recommends that you always apply a new layer of TPS. This is to make sure that the TPS layer continues to give satisfactory corrosion protection. If, after the check, you think that the TPS layer is in the correct condition, you can apply a new layer as a spray on the remaining layer.
(2) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001) and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing & Heavy Duty Hard Film - (Material No.12ADB1) : - To the forward and aft faces of the false rear spar at the trailing edge of the outer wing (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
- Removal of the TPS layer
or - Cleaning of the inspection area with high pressure water, steam, solvents and/or cleaning agents.
Subtask 57-51-00-410-093-A
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-400-002):
(3) Close the applicable access doors (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-400-008) and (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-400-009):
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 57-51-00-865-121-A (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-400-002):
(3) Close the applicable access doors (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-400-008) and (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-400-009):
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
(2) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
