GENERAL VISUAL INSPECTION OF OUTER WING, TOP SKIN EXTERNAL SURFACE, AFT OF REAR SPAR, BETWEEN RIB 10 TO 20 AT BUTTSTRAP ATTACHMENT.

3. Job Set-up
Subtask 57-51-00-941-085-A

A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(4) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below zone 500(600).
(5) Install the wing safety rope (Ref. AMM TASK 12-00-00-481-002).

4. Procedure

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the applicable inspection area.

Subtask 57-51-00-210-076-A

B. General Visual Inspection of Outer Wing, Top Skin External Surface, Aft of Rear Spar, Between RIB 10 to 20 at Buttstrap Attachment
(1) Examine and make sure that:

There is no corrosion
There are no cracks, dents, burrs, scores or scratches
The fasteners are in the correct condition
The surface protection is not damaged or loose.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572100 for the correct repair procedure.

5. Close-up
Subtask 57-51-00-942-086-A

A. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the wing safety rope (Ref. AMM TASK 12-00-00-481-002).
(2) Remove the safety barriers.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
