CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
  • MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

   (2) Remove the applicable access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-000-002):

   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the applicable wing trailing edge at the false rear spar, zone 574(674).
   (2) Remove the applicable access panels:

CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
  • MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Preparation for Inspection
   (1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the forward and aft faces of the trailing-edge false rear spar.

B. Detailed Inspection of Outer Wing, Trailing Edge False Rear Spar, Forward and Aft Faces
   (1) Use a FLASHLIGHT and a MIRROR - INSPECTION, FLEXIBLE to examine the forward and aft faces of the trailing-edge false rear spar. Make sure that:
  • there are no cracks
  • there is no damage
  • there is no corrosion
  • the protective finish is in the correct condition.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 575100 for the correct repair procedure.
