WARNING: OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) Obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
   (2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (3) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
   (4) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable fuel-tank water drain-holes in the wing bottom skin.

A. Preparation for Inspection
   (1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean:
  • The wing bottom skin around the fuel-tank water drain-holes.

B. Detailed Inspection of Outer Wing, Bottom-Skin Lower Surface at Fuel-Tank Water Drain-Holes between RIB 22-23
   (1) Examine the fuel-tank water drain-holes in the wing bottom skin between RIB 22 and 23. Make sure that:
  • There is no damage
  • The edges are not corroded
  • The surface finish of the edges are in good condition
  • There is no fuel leakage.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572100 for the correct repair procedure.
