(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable wing leading edge, zones 521 (621) and 522 (622).
(2) Remove the applicable access panels:

4. Procedure
Subtask 57-41-00-110-065-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the upper and lower surfaces of the bottom skin.

B. General Visual Inspection of Outer Wing, Fixed Leading Edge, Bottom Wing Skin, Upper and Lower Surfaces, Forward of Front Spar, from RIB 1 to RIB 27, Including Sighting Rod Holes in RIB Bay 8-9 and RIB Bay 26-27, Lifting Beam Holes and Drain Holes
(1) Examine the upper and lower surfaces of the bottom skin. Make sure that:

There is no corrosion
There are no cracks
There is no distortion
There are no loose or damaged fasteners
The surface protection is in the correct condition.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572100 for the correct repair procedure.

(2) Examine the sighting rod holes in RIB bays 8-9 and 26-27. Make sure that:

There is no corrosion
There are no cracks
There is no distortion or damage to the edges of the holes
The surface protection is in the correct condition.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572100 for the correct repair procedure.

(3) Examine the lifting beam holes to make sure that the plugs are in position. If the plugs are missing make sure that:

There is no corrosion
There are no cracks
There is no distortion or damage to the edge of the holes
The surface protection is in the correct condition.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572100 for the correct repair procedure.

(4) Examine the drain holes to make sure that:

The holes are clear
There are no signs of fuel leakage
There is no corrosion
There is no distortion, or damage to the edges of the holes
The surface protection is in the correct condition.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572100 for the correct repair procedure.

5. Close-up
