(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

(1) Fully extend the slats (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-004).
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is installed on the flap/slat control lever.

(2) Remove the applicable access panels:

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean areas 1 and 2 on the track ribs 1 to 12.

B. Inspection
(1) Examine areas 1 and 2 on the track ribs 1 to 12 that you can see. Make sure that:

there is no corrosion
there is no damage
the surface protection is in the correct condition.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the ASRM SRM 574000 for the correct repair procedure.

5. Close-up

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panels:
