A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Safety Precautions
   (1) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
   (2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
   (4) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position below the applicable wing-tip:
  • for the left wing, below zone 534
  • for the right wing, below zone 634.

4. Procedure
Subtask 57-31-00-440-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Reactivation of the Wing-Tip Fence
   (1) Reactivation of a wing-tip fence that was not fully removed:
     (a) Remove the damaged wing-tip fence (Ref. AMM TASK 57-31-22-000-001).
     (b) Install a new wing-tip fence (Ref. AMM TASK 57-31-22-400-001).
     (c) Write down in the aircraft log that the wing-tip fence has been reactivated.
   (2) Reactivation of a wing-tip fence that was removed:
     (a) Remove the aluminium foil adhesive tape from the wing tip.
     (b) Clean the wing tip with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
     (c) Install a new wing-tip fence (Ref. AMM TASK 57-31-22-400-001).

   (1) Do an operational test of the navigation lights (Ref. AMM TASK 33-41-00-710-001).
   (2) Do an operational test of the anti-collision/strobe lighting (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-00-710-002).

C. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Remove the safety barriers.
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (5) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
   (6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
