A. Safety Precautions
(1) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable zone 534(634).
(2) Remove the caps from the applicable inspection holes.

(1) Examine the applicable inspection area NTM 573107.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 573123 for the correct repair procedure. If the defect is not included in this repair, you must request a procedure from AIRBUS.

5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the caps in the applicable inspection holes.

B. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
