A. Safety Precautions
(1) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable zone 534(634).
(2) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-31-23-000-802):

For the left wing, remove 534BB
For the right wing, remove 634BB.

4. Procedure
Subtask 57-31-00-110-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the applicable inspection area.

Subtask 57-31-00-220-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Detailed Inspection of Wing Tip, Sharklet, RIB 27A, Bottom Flange Forward
(1) Examine the applicable inspection area and make sure that:

There is no damage
There are no cracks
There is no corrosion
The surface protection is in the correct condition.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 573123 for the correct repair procedure. If the defect is not included in this repair, you must request a procedure from Airbus.

5. Close-up
Subtask 57-31-00-410-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-31-23-400-802):

For the left wing, install 534BB
For the right wing, install 634BB.

B. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
