A. Safety Precautions
4. ProcedureWARNING:
BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank. Subtask 57-27-11-390-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Repair of the Outer Wing SPF Access Panels
(1) Put each panel in a BAG - PLASTIC.
(2) Keep the panels vertical to drain.
(3) Let the panels drain for the maximum available time until no leakage of fluid is seen.
(4) Remove the panels from the BAG - PLASTIC.
(5) Clean the panels with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(6) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet - (Material No.06ABB1) :
5. Close-up(1) Put each panel in a BAG - PLASTIC.
(2) Keep the panels vertical to drain.
(3) Let the panels drain for the maximum available time until no leakage of fluid is seen.
(4) Remove the panels from the BAG - PLASTIC.
(5) Clean the panels with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(6) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet - (Material No.06ABB1) :
- on the rivet heads at all the rivnut positions
- around the plugs.

A. Removal of Equipment
(1) Discard the unwanted fluid and the used transparent plastic bags in accordance with local regulations.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
