A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

B. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the applicable zone 540(640).

(1) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) , to clean the applicable inspection area.

B. Special Detailed Inspection of Outer Wing, Bottom Skin Lower Surface at Attachment to Rib 2 between Stringers 8 and 11
(1) Examine the applicable inspection area NTM 572064.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572000 for the correct repair procedure.

A. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
