   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
   (3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable engine pylon zone 471(481).

A. Preparation for Inspection
   (1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the applicable area for inspection.

B. Detailed Inspection Of Outer Wing, Bottom Skin Lower Surface At Attachment To Ribs And Stringers, In Area Covered By Pylon Fairing
   (1) Do a detail inspection and make sure that:
  • There is no damage
  • There is no corrosion
  • There are no cracks
  • There are no dents, burrs, scores or scratches
  • There are no loose or damaged fasteners
  • The surface protection is in the correct condition.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572000 for the correct repair procedure.
