(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) In the cockpit:

Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats
Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engines.

(4) On panel 115VU:

Make sure that ENG 1 MASTER 1 and ENG 2 MASTER 2 control switches are in the OFF position.

(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the applicable inspection area.

B. Detailed Inspection of Outer Wing, Bottom Skin, Lower Surface Attachment to Rear Spar in Area Covered by Pylon Fairing
(1) Do an inspection and make sure that:

There is no damage
There are no cracks
There is no corrosion
The paint finish is in the correct condition.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572000 for the correct repair procedure.
