SPECIAL DETAILED INSPECTION (ENDOSCOPE) OF OUTER WING, DRY BAY AREA
NOTE: This procedure is an alternative to MPD Task 572050-01 (Ref. Task 57-20-00-200-034-A).
NOTE: The effectivity of this task is ALL. To know if this task is applicable for your aircraft, refer to the MPD task applicability and the weight variant data given in the SRM introduction.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat lever control.
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
Subtask 57-20-00-010-102-A (1) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat lever control.
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable wing, zone 521(621).
(2) Remove the applicable access panels:
(a) For the left wing, remove:

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the applicable inspection area.

B. Special Detailed Inspection (Endoscope) of Outer Wing, Dry Bay Area
(1) Do a special detailed inspection of the dry bay area between RIB 5 and RIB 6B, NTM 572050 at:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
5. Close-up(1) Do a special detailed inspection of the dry bay area between RIB 5 and RIB 6B, NTM 572050 at:
- the skin attachments (including cleats)
- the spar attachments
- the access cutout surrounds
- the stringer cutouts.
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective action.

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panels:

(1) Remove the safety barriers.

(3) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
