A. Safety Precautions
(1) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below the applicable zones 540(640).

4. Procedure
Subtask 57-20-00-110-073-A

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) , to clean:

the lower-surface of the bottom skin at the runouts of the stringers 2, 9, 10, 14 and 15.

B. Detailed Inspection of Outer Wing, Bottom-Skin Lower Surface at Runouts of Stringer 15 (Rib Bay 2-3), Stringer 14 (Rib Bay 3-4), Stringer 10 (Rib Bays 2-3 and 6-7), Stringer 9 (Rib Bays 2-3 and 6-7) and Stringer 2 (Rib Bay 5-6)
(1) Examine the applicable inspection area. Make sure that:

there is no corrosion or damage
there are no scratches, or scores
there are no loose or damaged fasteners
the surface protection is in the correct condition.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572100 for the correct repair procedure.

5. Close-up

A. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
