A. Safety Precautions
(1) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

Subtask 57-20-00-010-070-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below the applicable zones 531(631).
(2) Remove the applicable access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-001):

for the left wing, remove 531AB 531BB 531CB
for the right wing, remove 631AB 631BB 631CB.

NOTE: If you can see all the area to be inspected with the fairing access panels (531CB (631CB)) installed, then it is not necessary to remove them.

Subtask 57-20-00-010-070-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below the applicable zones 531(631).
(2) Remove the applicable access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-004):

for the left wing, remove 531CB 531EB
for the right wing, remove 631CB 631EB.

NOTE: If you can see all the area to be inspected with the fairing access panels (531CB (631CB)) installed, then it is not necessary to remove them.

4. Procedure
Subtask 57-20-00-110-072-A

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) , to clean the applicable inspection area.

Subtask 57-20-00-210-067-A

B. Detailed Inspection of Outer Wing, Bottom-Skin Lower Surface, Forward of Rear Spar in Area Covered by Flap Track 2 Fairings, including Attachment to Rear Spar
(1) Examine the applicable inspection area. Make sure that:

there is no corrosion or damage
there are no scratches or scores
there are no loose or damaged fasteners
the surface protection is in the correct condition.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572100 for the correct repair procedure.

5. Close-up
Subtask 57-20-00-410-072-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-001):

for the left wing, install 531AB 531BB 531CB
for the right wing, install 631AB 631BB 631CB.

Subtask 57-20-00-410-072-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-004):

for the left wing, install 531CB 531EB
for the right wing, install 631CB 631EB.

Subtask 57-20-00-942-072-A

B. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
