A. Get Access
(1) Remove the applicable floor panels between FR36 and FR42 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 53-00-00-000-801).
(2) Remove the applicable insulation blankets between FR36 and FR42 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
Subtask 57-10-00-110-095-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the applicable floor panels between FR36 and FR42 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 53-00-00-000-801).
(2) Remove the applicable insulation blankets between FR36 and FR42 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary for the Nondestructive Testing Manual (NTM) task.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary for the Nondestructive Testing Manual (NTM) task.
Subtask 57-10-00-270-065-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Inspection
(1) Do a special detailed inspection (US) of the upper cruciform fitting of the center wing box at FR36 on the left and right sides, for damage or discontinuities. Do this inspection on the left and right sides NTM 571124.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
Subtask 57-10-00-910-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do a special detailed inspection (US) of the upper cruciform fitting of the center wing box at FR36 on the left and right sides, for damage or discontinuities. Do this inspection on the left and right sides NTM 571124.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
B. Sealant or Paint Application
(1) If the NTM procedure asked to remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area, apply sealant SRM 512400 or paint SRM 512300 on the inspection area.
5. Close-up(1) If the NTM procedure asked to remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area, apply sealant SRM 512400 or paint SRM 512300 on the inspection area.
Subtask 57-10-00-410-108-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the removed insulation blankets between FR36 and FR42 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(3) Install the removed floor panels between FR36 and FR42 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-00-00-400-801).
