DETAILED INSPECTION OF CENTER WING BOX, UPPER SKIN UPPER SURFACE AND BEAMS, INCLUDING FRAME FEET BETWEEN FR 36 AND FR 42.
NOTE: Temporary Protection System (TPS) can be only on the CWB, upper skin beams, between FR 36 and FR 42.
NOTE: The effectivity of this task is "ALL". To know if this task is applicable to your aircraft, refer to the MPD task applicability and the weight variant data given in the SRM introduction.

A. Get Access
(1) Remove the necessary floor panels between FR36 and FR42 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-000-002).
(2) Remove the applicable air-conditioning distribution ducts between FR36 and FR42 to get access to the inspection areas, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 21-20-00-010-001).
(3) Remove the necessary insulation blankets between FR36 and FR42 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
(4) Use a FLASHLIGHT for the inspection, if necessary.
Subtask 57-10-00-110-061-A (1) Remove the necessary floor panels between FR36 and FR42 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-000-002).
(2) Remove the applicable air-conditioning distribution ducts between FR36 and FR42 to get access to the inspection areas, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 21-20-00-010-001).
(3) Remove the necessary insulation blankets between FR36 and FR42 to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
(4) Use a FLASHLIGHT for the inspection, if necessary.
B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If there is a Temporary Protection System (TPS) layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If there is a Temporary Protection System (TPS) layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).

A. Inspection
(1) Do a detailed inspection of the upper surface of the upper skin of the center wing box. This inspection includes the beams and the frame feet between FR36 and FR42.
(2) Make sure that there is no:

- If you find corrosion damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
- If you find this type of damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage classification and corrective action.
B. Application of the Temporary Protection System
(1) If there is a TPS layer, do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).

NOTE: Airbus recommends that you always apply a new layer of TPS. This is to make sure that the TPS layer continues to give satisfactory corrosion protection. If, after the check, you think that the TPS layer is in the correct condition, you can apply a new layer as a spray on the existing layer.
(2) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) on the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001). (3) If, before the inspection, there was:
- Removal of the TPS layer
- Or cleaning of the inspection area with high-pressure water, steam, solvents and/or cleaning agents

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the insulation blankets between FR36 and FR42 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(3) Install the air-conditioning distribution ducts between FR36 and FR42, if removed (Ref. AMM TASK 21-20-00-410-001).
(4) Install the floor panels between FR36 and FR42 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-400-002).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the insulation blankets between FR36 and FR42 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(3) Install the air-conditioning distribution ducts between FR36 and FR42, if removed (Ref. AMM TASK 21-20-00-410-001).
(4) Install the floor panels between FR36 and FR42 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-400-002).
