3. Job Set-up
Subtask 57-10-00-010-076-A

A. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the FWD cargo-compartment door 825.
(2) Open the FWD cargo-compartment door 825
(Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
(3) Remove the FWD cargo-compartment linings (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-001).
(4) Remove the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
(5) Use a FLASHLIGHT for the inspection.

B. Cleaning of the Structure

WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.

(1) Clean the inspection surface with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , if necessary.

4. Procedure
Subtask 57-10-00-220-060-A

A. Inspection

Front Spar of the Center Wing Box

(1) Do a detailed inspection of the forward face of the front spar of the center wing box.
(2) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:

If you find corrosion damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for types, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.

(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):

If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage classification and corrective action.

5. Close-up
Subtask 57-10-00-410-074-A

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(3) Install the FWD cargo-compartment linings (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-001).
(4) Close the FWD cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
