B. Check of the Peripheral Clearances
(1) Measure the peripheral clearances of the sliding window panel in its housing to get:
(a) The value of peripheral clearance J1 (between the sliding window and the frame) at the measured points that agrees with the value given in the related figure for:

NOTE: Peripheral clearance J1 of between 0.8 mm (0.0315 in.) and 3.2 mm (0.1260 in.) is permitted at the measured points.
- The glass sliding window (SGS supplier, P/N SPSA320-7-X-X or SPSA320-8-X-X do not include P/N SPSA320-3-X-X or SPSA320-4-X-X).
NOTE: Peripheral clearance J1 of between 0.4 mm (0.0157 in.) and 2.4 mm (0.0945 in.) is permitted at the measured points.
(b) The value of peripheral clearance J4 (between the sliding window and the frame) at the measured points that agrees with the value given in the related figure for: - The glass sliding window (PPG supplier, P/Ns NP165332A1 and NP165332A2).
NOTE: Peripheral clearance J4 of between 0.8 mm (0.0315 in.) and 3.2 mm (0.1260 in.) is permitted at the measured points.
(2) If the peripheral clearance J1 or J4 is not in the tolerance, go to step 4.C.C. Adjustment of the Sliding Windows to Get the Peripheral Clearances
(1) Adjustment on the Z axis:
(a) From points 1 to 11, measure the top peripheral clearance and the bottom peripheral clearance.
(b) To get peripheral clearance J1 and J4:
(d) Release the lockwashers (82) and (84).
(e) Remove the circlips (70) and (63).
(f) Remove the nuts (69) and (64).
(g) Remove and discard the lockwashers (82) and (84).
(h) Remove the bottom roller supports (71) and (62).
(i) Record the location of the bottom roller supports (71) and (62) on the sliding window frame.
(j) Install the adjusment washers (67) and (66).
(k) Make sure that clearance J3 between the roller supports and the horizontal flange rail is between 0.5 mm (0.0197 in.) and 4.5 mm (0.1772 in.).
(l) Apply Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) on the bottom roller supports (71) and (62) and install them.
(m) Install the new AIPC 56-12-11-03-185 LOCKWASHER (82) and new AIPC 56-12-11-03-185 LOCKWASHER (84).
(n) Install the nuts (69) and (64).
(o) TORQUE the nuts to between 22 and 20 m.N (16.22 and 14.75 lbf.ft )
and safety them with Threadlocking Adhesive-- High strength - (Material No.05BAJ1) .
(p) Install the circlips (70) and (63).
(q) Install the sliding window and close it.
(r) Make sure that top and bottom peripheral clearances J1 and J4 on the Z axis are correct. If necessary, do the adjustment procedure again.
(a) Remove the circlip (59).
(b) Loosen the nut (60).
(c) Turn the eccentric (61) to get peripheral clearances J1 and J4 on the X axis.
(d) TORQUE the nut (60) to between 22 and 20 m.N (16.22 and 14.75 lbf.ft )
and safety it with Threadlocking Adhesive-- High strength - (Material No.05BAJ1) .
(e) Install the circlip (59).
(f) Make sure that peripheral clearances J1 and J4 on the X axis are correct. If necessary, do the adjustment procedure again.
(3) Adjustment of the latches (90):
(a) Make sure that the sliding window is closed.
(b) Make sure that clearance J2 between the latches (90) and the locking pins (91) is between 0 mm (0.0000 in.) and 0.1 mm (0.0039 in.).
(c) If clearance J2 is not in the tolerance, turn the eccentric of the locking pins (91) on the frame.
(4) Temporary installation of the aft top rail:

(a) Install the top guide rail (56), the bolts (54) and (55) and the nuts (57). Do not tighten the nuts (57).
Subtask 56-12-11-820-072-A (1) Adjustment on the Z axis:
(a) From points 1 to 11, measure the top peripheral clearance and the bottom peripheral clearance.
(b) To get peripheral clearance J1 and J4:
- Use the AIPC 56-12-11-03-285 ADJUSTMENT WASHER (66) and the AIPC 56-12-11-03-285 ADJUSTMENT WASHER (67) of the correct thickness in relation to the roller supports (62) and (71).
(d) Release the lockwashers (82) and (84).
(e) Remove the circlips (70) and (63).
(f) Remove the nuts (69) and (64).
(g) Remove and discard the lockwashers (82) and (84).
(h) Remove the bottom roller supports (71) and (62).
(i) Record the location of the bottom roller supports (71) and (62) on the sliding window frame.
(j) Install the adjusment washers (67) and (66).
(k) Make sure that clearance J3 between the roller supports and the horizontal flange rail is between 0.5 mm (0.0197 in.) and 4.5 mm (0.1772 in.).
(l) Apply Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) on the bottom roller supports (71) and (62) and install them.
(m) Install the new AIPC 56-12-11-03-185 LOCKWASHER (82) and new AIPC 56-12-11-03-185 LOCKWASHER (84).
(n) Install the nuts (69) and (64).
(o) TORQUE the nuts to between 22 and 20 m.N (16.22 and 14.75 lbf.ft )
and safety them with Threadlocking Adhesive-- High strength - (Material No.05BAJ1) . (p) Install the circlips (70) and (63).
(q) Install the sliding window and close it.
(r) Make sure that top and bottom peripheral clearances J1 and J4 on the Z axis are correct. If necessary, do the adjustment procedure again.
NOTE: The adjustments to the eccentric (61) and the eccentric of the locking pin (91) have an effect on the J1, J4 and J2 peripheral clearances.
(2) Adjustment on the X axis: (a) Remove the circlip (59).
(b) Loosen the nut (60).
(c) Turn the eccentric (61) to get peripheral clearances J1 and J4 on the X axis.
(d) TORQUE the nut (60) to between 22 and 20 m.N (16.22 and 14.75 lbf.ft )
and safety it with Threadlocking Adhesive-- High strength - (Material No.05BAJ1) . (e) Install the circlip (59).
(f) Make sure that peripheral clearances J1 and J4 on the X axis are correct. If necessary, do the adjustment procedure again.
(3) Adjustment of the latches (90):
(a) Make sure that the sliding window is closed.
(b) Make sure that clearance J2 between the latches (90) and the locking pins (91) is between 0 mm (0.0000 in.) and 0.1 mm (0.0039 in.).
(c) If clearance J2 is not in the tolerance, turn the eccentric of the locking pins (91) on the frame.
(4) Temporary installation of the aft top rail:

(1) Close the sliding window.
(2) Make sure that the window moves easily.
(3) Make sure that the value of out-of-flush dimension A1 at the measured points agrees with the value given in the related figure for:

NOTE: Out-of-flush dimension A1 (between the sliding window and the frame) of between -3 mm (-0.1181 in.) and 0.7 mm (0.0276 in.) is permitted at the measured points (under condition).
- The glass sliding window (PPG supplier, P/N NP..., do not include P/Ns NP165332A1 and NP165332A2)
NOTE: Out-of-flush dimension A1 (between the sliding window and the frame) of between -3 mm (-0.1181 in.) and 0.7 mm (0.0276 in.) is permitted at the measured points (under condition).
- The glass sliding window (SGS supplier, P/N SPSA320-7-X-X or SPSA320-8-X-X, do not include P/N SPSA320-3-X-X or SPSA320-4-X-X)
NOTE: Out-of-flush dimension A1 (between the Z-section of the sliding window and the frame) of between -3 mm (-0.1181 in.) and 0.8 mm (0.0315 in.) is permitted at the measured points (under condition).
(4) Make sure that the difference between the maximum value of the out-of-flush dimension at measured points A, B, C and D agrees with the value given in the related figure for: - The acrylic sliding window (GKN supplier, P/N NH...)
- The glass sliding window (PPG supplier, P/N NP..., do not include P/Ns NP165332A1 and NP165332A2)
- The glass sliding window (SGS supplier, P/N SPSA320-7-X-X or SPSA320-8-X-X, do not include P/N SPSA320-3-X-X or SPSA320-4-X-X).
NOTE: A difference of maximum 1 mm (0.0394 in.) between the maximum value of the out-of-flush dimension and the given points is permitted at measured points A, B, C and D.
(5) Make sure that a difference between the maximum value of out-of-flush dimension A2 for the glass sliding window (PPG supplier, P/Ns NP165332A1 and NP165332A2) of maximum 1 mm (0.0394 in.) is also permitted at measured points A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H. E. Adjustment of the Sliding Windows to Get the Out-of-flush Dimensions
(1) If out-of-flush dimensions A1 and A2 are not correct, adjust the sliding window:
(a) Release the lockwashers (81) and (83).
(b) Remove the circlips (63), (70), (79) and (80).
(c) Loosen the nuts (64) and (69).
(d) Remove the nuts (72) and (78).
(e) Remove and discard the lockwashers (81) and (83).
(f) Install the new AIPC 56-12-11-02-185 LOCKWASHER (81) and new AIPC 56-12-11-02-185 LOCKWASHER (83).
(g) Install the nuts (72) and (78).
(h) Turn the eccentrics (65), (68), (73) and (77) to get out-of-flush dimensions A1 and A2.
(i) TORQUE the nuts (64), (69), (72) and (78) to between 22 and 20 m.N (16.22 and 14.75 lbf.ft )
.
(j) Safety them with the lockwashers (81), (82), (83) and (84).
(k) Install the circlips (63), (70), (79) and (80).
(2) Adjustment of the latches (90):
(a) Make sure that the sliding window is closed.
(b) Make sure that clearance J2 between the latches (90) and the locking pins (91) is between 0 mm (0.0000 in.) and 0.1 mm (0.0039 in.).
(c) If clearance J2 is not in the tolerance, turn the eccentric of the locking pins (91) on the frame.
Subtask 56-12-11-220-051-A (1) If out-of-flush dimensions A1 and A2 are not correct, adjust the sliding window:
(a) Release the lockwashers (81) and (83).
(b) Remove the circlips (63), (70), (79) and (80).
(c) Loosen the nuts (64) and (69).
(d) Remove the nuts (72) and (78).
(e) Remove and discard the lockwashers (81) and (83).
(f) Install the new AIPC 56-12-11-02-185 LOCKWASHER (81) and new AIPC 56-12-11-02-185 LOCKWASHER (83).
(g) Install the nuts (72) and (78).
(h) Turn the eccentrics (65), (68), (73) and (77) to get out-of-flush dimensions A1 and A2.
(i) TORQUE the nuts (64), (69), (72) and (78) to between 22 and 20 m.N (16.22 and 14.75 lbf.ft )
. (j) Safety them with the lockwashers (81), (82), (83) and (84).
(k) Install the circlips (63), (70), (79) and (80).
(2) Adjustment of the latches (90):
(a) Make sure that the sliding window is closed.
(b) Make sure that clearance J2 between the latches (90) and the locking pins (91) is between 0 mm (0.0000 in.) and 0.1 mm (0.0039 in.).
(c) If clearance J2 is not in the tolerance, turn the eccentric of the locking pins (91) on the frame.
F. Adjustment of the Handle
(1) Do a check of the load necessary to operate the handle during the opening.
(b) Use the DYNAMOMETER 25 DAN (56.2 LBF) to measure the load on the handle perpendicularly.
Subtask 56-12-11-210-058-A (1) Do a check of the load necessary to operate the handle during the opening.
NOTE: The load on the handle is directly related to the out-of-flush adjustment of the window.
(a) Operate the sliding window. (b) Use the DYNAMOMETER 25 DAN (56.2 LBF) to measure the load on the handle perpendicularly.
NOTE: The permitted load on the handle is 20 +2 daN or -3 daN (44.9618 +4.4962 lbf or -6.7443 lbf).
(c) If the load is not in the tolerance, adjust the sliding window again. NOTE: We recommend that you adjust the window to get a load on the handle near the maximum limit.
G. Sealing Check
(1) Close the sliding window.
(3) After 10 minutes, make sure that there is no water leakage at the window frame.
(4) If water goes into the cockpit, make sure that the adjustments are correct and that the seal is in the correct condition.
(5) Dry the sliding window, if necessary.
Subtask 56-12-11-914-050-A (1) Close the sliding window.
NOTE: The sliding window must be in the locked position (handle fully forward and you must see the red indicator).
(2) Apply water to the periphery of the sliding window from the external side of the aircraft. (3) After 10 minutes, make sure that there is no water leakage at the window frame.
(4) If water goes into the cockpit, make sure that the adjustments are correct and that the seal is in the correct condition.
(5) Dry the sliding window, if necessary.
H. Installation of the Aft Top Rail

(1) Remove the nuts (57), the bolts (54) and (55) and the aft top rail (56).
(2) Apply a thin layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) between the top surface of the rail (56) and the frame.
(3) Install the aft top rail (56) on its support.
(4) Install the bolts (54) and (55) and the nuts (57).
(5) Tighten the nuts (57).
(6) Remove the film that gives protection to the sliding window.

Sliding Windows - Removal/Installation ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (2) Apply a thin layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) between the top surface of the rail (56) and the frame.
(3) Install the aft top rail (56) on its support.
(4) Install the bolts (54) and (55) and the nuts (57).
(5) Tighten the nuts (57).
(6) Remove the film that gives protection to the sliding window.
I. Installation of the Lining Panels
(1) Installation of the sliding window lining (16):
(a) Install the structural bracket assembly, if removed (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-400-802).
(b) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(c) Make sure that pins A/C and A/D of the electrical connector (10) of the sliding window are connected to pins B/X and B/W of the Window Heat Computer (WHC) ASM 304201 or ASM 304202.
(d) Connect the electrical connector (10) to the receptacle of the sliding window ASM 304201 or ASM 304202.
(e) Lift the plate (17).
(f) Put the sliding window lining (16) in position.
(g) Put the plate (17) in position and install the screws (12).
(h) Tighten the screws (12).
(i) Install the screws (11) and tighten them.
(j) Install the washer (2) and the screw (3).
(k) Tighten the screw (3).
(l) Install the blanking plug (4).
(m) Open the sliding window.
(n) Install the guide (13) on the sliding window lining (16) with the washer (14) and the screw (15).
(o) Tighten the screw (15).
(p) Install the washer (8) and the screw (9).
(q) Tighten the screw (9).
(r) Put the handle (6) in position.
(s) Install the washer (20) and the screw (21). Do not fully tighten the screw (21) at this time.
(t) Install the washer (18) and the screw (19).
(u) Tighten the screws (19) and (21).
(v) Put the pencil holder assembly (7) in position.
(w) Install the screw (5) and tighten it.
(2) Installation of lining panel 211KC ( 212KC) (29):
(a) Install the duct (27) on the air outlet nozzle (22).
(b) Tighten the clamp (28).
(c) Make sure that the seal (23) is in position on lining panel 211KC (212KC) (29).
(d) Install lining panel 211KC (212KC) on the brackets (26).
(e) Install the washers (25) and the screws (24).
(f) Tighten the screws (24).
(g) Lock the fastener (1).
(h) Install lining panels 211BC ( 212BC) and 211FC ( 212FC).
(3) Installation of lining panel 211GW ( 212GW) (48):
(a) Attach the electrical cable (46) to lining panel 211GW (212GW) (48).
(b) Install the clamp (43), the washer (44) and the screw (45) on the support (47).
(c) Tighten the screw (45).
(d) Put lining panel 211GW (212GW) (48) in position.
(e) Lock the fasteners (42).
(f) Install the washers (40) and the screws (41).
(g) Tighten the screws (41).
(h) Close sliding window 8DG1 (8DG2) (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-410-001).
Subtask 56-12-11-420-063-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Installation of the sliding window lining (16):
(a) Install the structural bracket assembly, if removed (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-400-802).
(b) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(c) Make sure that pins A/C and A/D of the electrical connector (10) of the sliding window are connected to pins B/X and B/W of the Window Heat Computer (WHC) ASM 304201 or ASM 304202.
(d) Connect the electrical connector (10) to the receptacle of the sliding window ASM 304201 or ASM 304202.
(e) Lift the plate (17).
(f) Put the sliding window lining (16) in position.
(g) Put the plate (17) in position and install the screws (12).
(h) Tighten the screws (12).
(i) Install the screws (11) and tighten them.
(j) Install the washer (2) and the screw (3).
(k) Tighten the screw (3).
(l) Install the blanking plug (4).
(m) Open the sliding window.
(n) Install the guide (13) on the sliding window lining (16) with the washer (14) and the screw (15).
(o) Tighten the screw (15).
(p) Install the washer (8) and the screw (9).
(q) Tighten the screw (9).
(r) Put the handle (6) in position.
(s) Install the washer (20) and the screw (21). Do not fully tighten the screw (21) at this time.
(t) Install the washer (18) and the screw (19).
(u) Tighten the screws (19) and (21).
(v) Put the pencil holder assembly (7) in position.
(w) Install the screw (5) and tighten it.
(2) Installation of lining panel 211KC ( 212KC) (29):
(a) Install the duct (27) on the air outlet nozzle (22).
(b) Tighten the clamp (28).
(c) Make sure that the seal (23) is in position on lining panel 211KC (212KC) (29).
(d) Install lining panel 211KC (212KC) on the brackets (26).
(e) Install the washers (25) and the screws (24).
