(1) Move the sliding window assembly (52) until it touches the rear stop.
(2) Remove the sliding window assembly (52) from the rails (51) and (53).
(3) When you remove the window, record the data in the IN-SERVICE WINDOW REMOVAL DATA GATHERING form to help Airbus continue to monitor it.

Removal of the Sliding Windows
WARNING:
YOU MUST MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN HOLD THE COMPONENT BEFORE YOU REMOVE/INSTALL IT. THE COMPONENT IS HEAVY. IF IT FALLS, IT CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE SHARP AND/OR METALLIC TOOLS OR OBJECTS TO REMOVE/INSTALL THE WINDSHIELD OR A WINDOW. DO NOT USE A LEVER AGAINST THE EDGE OF THE WINDSHIELD OR WINDOW. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE WINDSHIELD OR WINDOW.
1. Reason for the JobNOTE: Two persons are necessary for this procedure.
NOTE: There are alternative procedures for the removal of the sliding windows. This task gives one of the procedures. For the other procedures, refer to the related task in this page block.
NOTE: This procedure is applicable to the glass windows (SGS supplier, P/N SPSA320-3-X-X or SPSA320-4-X-X).

(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at zone 210, in front of the sliding window.

C. Removal of the Component
(1) Remove the reading lights, if installed (Ref. AMM TASK 33-12-12-000-001):

(3) Remove the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Display Unit (DU), if installed (Ref. AMM D/O 46-26-22-00).
(4) Remove the EFB DU mounting-bracket, if installed (Ref. AMM D/O 46-26-22-00).

A. Removal of the Lining Panels
(1) Removal of the sliding window lining (16):
(a) Open the sliding window (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-010-001).
(b) Remove the screw (5) and the pencil holder assembly (7).
(c) Remove the screw (21) and the washer (20).
(d) Remove the screw (19) and the washer (18).
(e) Remove the handle (6).
(f) Remove the screw (9) and the washer (8).
(g) Remove the screw (15) and the washer (14).
(h) Remove the guide (13).
(i) Close the sliding window (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-410-001).
(j) Remove the blanking plug (4), the screw (3) and the washer (2).
(k) Remove the screws (11) and (12).
(l) Lift the plate (17).
(m) Remove the sliding window lining (16).
(n) Disconnect the electrical connector (10) from the receptacle.
(o) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(p) Remove the structural bracket assembly, if installed (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-000-803).
(2) Removal of lining panel 211GW( 212GW) (48):
(a) Remove the screws (41) and the washers (40).
(b) Loosen the fasteners (42).
(c) Disengage lining panel 211GW( 212GW) (48).
(d) Remove the screw (45) and the washer (44).
(e) Disengage the electrical cable (46).
(f) Remove lining panel 211GW( 212GW) (48).
(3) Removal of lining panel 211KC( 212KC) (29):
(a) Remove lining panels 211BC( 212BC) and 211FC( 212FC) (29).
(b) Loosen the fastener (1).
(c) Remove the screws (24) and the washers (25) from the brackets (26).
(d) Loosen the clamp (28) and disconnect the duct (27).
(e) Remove lining panel 211KC( 212KC) (29).
Subtask 56-12-11-020-087-A (1) Removal of the sliding window lining (16):
(a) Open the sliding window (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-010-001).
(b) Remove the screw (5) and the pencil holder assembly (7).
(c) Remove the screw (21) and the washer (20).
(d) Remove the screw (19) and the washer (18).
(e) Remove the handle (6).
(f) Remove the screw (9) and the washer (8).
(g) Remove the screw (15) and the washer (14).

(i) Close the sliding window (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-410-001).
(j) Remove the blanking plug (4), the screw (3) and the washer (2).
(k) Remove the screws (11) and (12).
(l) Lift the plate (17).
(m) Remove the sliding window lining (16).
(n) Disconnect the electrical connector (10) from the receptacle.
(o) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(p) Remove the structural bracket assembly, if installed (Ref. AMM TASK 56-12-11-000-803).
(2) Removal of lining panel 211GW( 212GW) (48):
(a) Remove the screws (41) and the washers (40).
(b) Loosen the fasteners (42).
(c) Disengage lining panel 211GW( 212GW) (48).
(d) Remove the screw (45) and the washer (44).
(e) Disengage the electrical cable (46).
(f) Remove lining panel 211GW( 212GW) (48).
(3) Removal of lining panel 211KC( 212KC) (29):
(a) Remove lining panels 211BC( 212BC) and 211FC( 212FC) (29).
(b) Loosen the fastener (1).
(c) Remove the screws (24) and the washers (25) from the brackets (26).
(d) Loosen the clamp (28) and disconnect the duct (27).
(e) Remove lining panel 211KC( 212KC) (29).
B. Removal of the Aft Upper Rail

(1) Remove the bolts (54) and (55) and the nuts (57).
(2) Remove the aft upper rail (56) from its support.

WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE THE SLIDING WINDOW. THE HANDLE IS SPRING-LOADED AND WILL MOVE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU REMOVE THE SLIDING WINDOW FROM THE TRACK. IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL, THE HANDLE CAN HIT YOU.
C. Removal of the Sliding Window
