A. Get Access

THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.

MOVEMENT OF COMPONENTS CAN KILL OR CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.

(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below the access door 312AR.
(2) Open the access door 312AR.
(3) Take a FLASHLIGHT to do the inspection.

B. Cleaning Procedure

WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.

(1) Clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , if necessary. Make sure the area is dry before you continue.

A. Detailed Visual Inspection Procedure

Shear Ties and Frame Clips at FR72 and FR74, between Stringer 3 and Stringer 9, LH/RH

(1) Do a detailed visual inspection of the shear ties and the frame clips at FR72 and FR74. Do this between stringer 3 and stringer 9, the LH and RH internal structure for cracks.

NOTE: If required, for information on repair procedures for cracks, refer to the ASRM frames SRM 530012.

5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the access door 312AR.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
