A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Preparation for the Installation
   (1) Remove the remaining sealant from the floor panel (1) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
   (2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (5) If the adhesive tape (3) is not in the correct condition:
     (a) Remove the damaged adhesive tape (3).
     (b) Clean the areas from which you removed the adhesive tape (3) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (c) Apply the new Sealing Profile-Seat Rail Self Adhesive - I shape (Material No.14JMB1) (3) on the floor panel (1).
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-42-17-420-051-A
A. Installation of the Floor Panel Seal
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Cut the seals (2) to the necessary length and as a continuous piece.
   (3) Clean the seals (2) to remove dust and dirt.
   (4) Put the seals (2) in position.
   (5) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the holes at the end of seal (2) at a minimum distance of 40 mm (1.5748 in.) from the edge of the seal.
   (6) Make sure that all the seals intersections are flush with each other.
   (7) If you removed the floor panel (1), install it (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-17-400-001).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
Subtask 53-42-17-410-053-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
   (3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

   (1) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
