3. Job Set-up
Subtask 53-41-61-860-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) Put on and attach the HARNESS, SAFETY before you start work in the work area.
   (3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 6M (20 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position in front of the ADF2 antenna cover, at zone 250.
   (4) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
Subtask 53-41-61-110-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Preparation for Installation
   (1) With the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC remove the sealant from the mating surfaces of the cover (2) and the fuselage structure (3).
   (2) Clean the contact surfaces of the cover (2) and the fuselage structure (3) with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Do a visual inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-41-61-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the ADF2 Antenna Cover
   (1) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).
   (2) Remove the TAPE - MASKING from the electrical connector (4).
   (3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (4) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (5) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the dummy receptacle (5).
   (6) Put the cover (2) in position on the fuselage structure (3).
   (7) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the screws (6) and (7).
   (8) Install the screws (1), (6) and (7).
   (9) TORQUE the screws (1), (6) and (7) to between 0.5 and 0.4 m.daN (44.25 and 35.40 lbf.in ) T.
   (10) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (11) Make sure that the bonding contact resistance between the cover (2) and the fuselage structure (3) is not more than five milliohms (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (12) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) on the cover (2) and the fuselage structure (3).
   (13) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) on the screws (1) and (6).
   (14) Make the contour of the sealant smooth.
   (15) Remove the unwanted sealant with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (16) Let the sealant cure.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).

B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
