Inspection Area at the Run-Out of the Upper Internal Sealing-Profile in FR 47.4 at STGR 13Subtask 53-41-00-010-215-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Get Access
(1) Put on a safety harness:
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position at zone 834 (844).
(3) Open emergency exit doors 834 (844) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-001).
(4) If necessary, remove the door frame linings (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-010).
(5) If necessary, remove the insulation from the inspection area.
Subtask 53-41-00-110-176-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put on a safety harness:
WARNING:
BEFORE YOU START WORK, YOU MUST PUT ON A SAFETY HARNESS AND ATTACH IT TO THE ACCESS PLATFORM. WITHOUT A SAFETY HARNESS, YOU CAN FALL. THIS CAN KILL YOU OR CAUSE YOU INJURY.
(a) Put on and attach the HARNESS, SAFETY before you start work in the work area.(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position at zone 834 (844).
(3) Open emergency exit doors 834 (844) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-001).
(4) If necessary, remove the door frame linings (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-010).
(5) If necessary, remove the insulation from the inspection area.
B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) If there is a TPS layer and if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection, remove the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
Subtask 53-41-00-220-101-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Inspection
(1) Do a special detailed inspection of fastener hole at the run-out of upper internal sealing profile in FR 47.4 at Stringer 13, LH/RH, for damage or discontinuities. Refer to NTM 534188.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for damage types, classification and corrective action.
Subtask 53-41-00-916-118-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do a special detailed inspection of fastener hole at the run-out of upper internal sealing profile in FR 47.4 at Stringer 13, LH/RH, for damage or discontinuities. Refer to NTM 534188.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for damage types, classification and corrective action.
B. Check and Application of the TPS Layer
(1) If the TPS was removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(2) If the TPS was not removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(3) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
5. Close-up(1) If the TPS was removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(2) If the TPS was not removed at the "Preparation of the Inspection Area", do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(3) If the TPS layer has local damage, remove the damaged TPS layer and apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
Subtask 53-41-00-410-211-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) If removed, install the insulation from the inspection area.
(2) If removed, install the door frame linings (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-010).
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Close emergency exit doors 834 (844) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-001).
(1) If removed, install the insulation from the inspection area.
(2) If removed, install the door frame linings (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-010).
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Close emergency exit doors 834 (844) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-001).
