A. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the inspection area.

B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary for the Non-destructive Testing Manual (NTM) task.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Remove the sealant and/or paint from the inspection area if this is necessary for the Non-destructive Testing Manual (NTM) task.
Subtask 53-41-00-220-088-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Inspection
(1) Do a special detailed inspection of the two upper rivet rows at the skin to the reinforcement joint, between FR 65 and FR 66 on/below stringer 37, left side, for damage or discontinuities.
(a) Do this on the areas of the external surface of the fuselage skin around the rivet head at the water-service panel cutout.
Refer to NTM 534125.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for damage types, classification and corrective action.
(c) Paint layer damage:
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512300) for general data for paint layers.
Subtask 53-41-00-370-072-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do a special detailed inspection of the two upper rivet rows at the skin to the reinforcement joint, between FR 65 and FR 66 on/below stringer 37, left side, for damage or discontinuities.
(a) Do this on the areas of the external surface of the fuselage skin around the rivet head at the water-service panel cutout.
Refer to NTM 534125.
(2) Make a report of the damage after the NTM inspection:
