IF THE CIRCUIT BREAKER 1RI IS CLOSED, MAKE SURE THAT NO PERSONS ARE NEAR THE UPPER HALF-SPHERE OF THE INTERMEDIATE GAIN ANTENNA (IN A RADIUS OF 3.52 METERS FROM THE ANTENNA). THE INTERMEDIATE GAIN ANTENNA TRANSMITS HIGH FREQUENCY RADIO SIGNALS WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY.

A. Get Access
(1) Remove the ceiling panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001).
(2) Remove the insulation blankets, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).

B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the outer surface of the inspection area is clean and smooth.
(3) If necessary, make the outer surface of the inspection area smooth with the CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 280).
(4) Make sure that the inspection area is dry before you continue.
(5) Do a visual inspection of the outer surface of the inspection area. Look for damage, and defects in the shape of the surface.
(6) If you find damage :
(a) Refer to the ASRM SRM 511100 for the classification of the damage.
(b) If you find corrosion damage:
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the outer surface of the inspection area is clean and smooth.

(2) If necessary, clean the outer surface of the inspection area with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) . (3) If necessary, make the outer surface of the inspection area smooth with the CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 280).
(4) Make sure that the inspection area is dry before you continue.
(5) Do a visual inspection of the outer surface of the inspection area. Look for damage, and defects in the shape of the surface.
(6) If you find damage :
(a) Refer to the ASRM SRM 511100 for the classification of the damage.
(b) If you find corrosion damage:
- Refer to the ASRM SRM 512200 for the general corrosion data
- Refer to the ASRM SRM 51740000 for the repair of the corroded areas.
- Refer to the ASRM SRM 51730000 for the repair of the minor damage.
Subtask 53-41-00-220-082-A
A. Special Detailed Inspection
(1) Do a special detailed inspection (LFEC) of the fuselage skin under the doubler of the cabin-swift broadband antenna at the outer rivet row. This does not include the rivets at the stringer and frame junctions, NTM 534199.
(a) For A318, do this from FR57 to FR59 and between STGR2 LH and RH.
(b) For A319, A320 and A321, do this from FR59 to FR61 and between STGR2 LH and RH.
(2) If you find damage :
(a) Refer to the ASRM SRM 511100 for the classification of the damage.
(b) If you find corrosion damage:
5. Close-up(1) Do a special detailed inspection (LFEC) of the fuselage skin under the doubler of the cabin-swift broadband antenna at the outer rivet row. This does not include the rivets at the stringer and frame junctions, NTM 534199.
(a) For A318, do this from FR57 to FR59 and between STGR2 LH and RH.
(b) For A319, A320 and A321, do this from FR59 to FR61 and between STGR2 LH and RH.
(2) If you find damage :
(a) Refer to the ASRM SRM 511100 for the classification of the damage.
(b) If you find corrosion damage:
- Refer to the ASRM SRM 512200 for the general corrosion data
- Refer to the ASRM SRM 51740000 for the repair of the corroded areas.
- Refer to the ASRM SRM 51730000 for the repair of the minor damage
- Refer to the ASRM SRM 53411101 for the permitted damage limits for this structure
- Refer to the ASRM SRM 53411102 for the repair data for this structure.
Subtask 53-41-00-370-068-A
A. Repair of the Surface Protection
(1) If necessary, repair the paint coatings in the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-003) or (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-001).
Subtask 53-41-00-410-191-A (1) If necessary, repair the paint coatings in the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-003) or (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-001).
B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(3) Install the ceiling panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-400-001).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(3) Install the ceiling panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-400-001).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
Fuselage Skin Under the Outer Rivet Row of the Doubler of the Antenna, from FR59 to FR61, between STGR 2 LH/RH
