Subtask 53-41-00-010-122-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Get Access
   (1) Open the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the cargo door.
   (3) If installed, remove the rear additional center tank (Ref. AMM 28-11-27, Page Block 401).
   (4) In the AFT cargo-compartment, remove the floor-panels 151DF 151GF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-14-000-001).
   (5) Remove the insulation blankets from the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
NOTE: Identify the insulation blankets for installation.
Subtask 53-41-00-010-122-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Get Access
   (1) Open the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the cargo door.
   (3) If installed, remove the rear additional center tank (Ref. AMM 28-11-27, Page Block 401).
   (4) In the AFT cargo-compartment, remove the floor-panels 151VG 151ZG (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-14-000-001).
   (5) Remove the insulation blankets from the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
NOTE: Identify the insulation blankets for installation.

A. Get Access
   (1) Open the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the cargo door.
   (3) If installed, remove the rear additional center tank (Ref. AMM 28-11-27, Page Block 401).
   (4) In the AFT cargo-compartment, remove the floor-panels 151TF 151ZG (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-14-000-001).
   (5) Remove the insulation blankets from the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
NOTE: Identify the insulation blankets for installation.

B. Preparation of the Inspection Areas
   (1) Make sure that the surfaces of the inspection areas are clean and smooth.
WARNING: OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE THIS/THESE MATERIAL/S. USE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND A MASK.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS A GOOD FLOW OF AIR THROUGH THE WORK AREA WHEN YOU USE SPECIAL MATERIALS. IF YOU GET ONE OF THESE MATERIALS ON YOUR SKIN, IN YOUR MOUTH OR IN YOUR EYES:
  • FLUSH IT AWAY WITH A FLOW OF CLEAN WATER FOR BETWEEN 10 AND 15 MINUTES.
  • GET IMMEDIATE MEDICAL AID IF IRRITATION OCCURS.
DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM THE MATERIAL. DO NOT SMOKE WHEN YOU USE THE MATERIAL. DO NOT USE THE MATERIAL NEAR A FLAME, SPARKS OR SOURCES OF HEAT. THESE MATERIALS ARE DANGEROUS: THEY ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANTS.
   (2) If necessary, clean the surfaces of the inspection areas with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) Make sure you remove the used sealant.
   (4) If necessary, make the surfaces of the inspection areas smooth with the CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 280).
   (5) Make sure the inspection areas are clean and dry before you continue.
   (6) Do a visual inspection of the surfaces of the inspection areas. Look for damage, and defects in the shape of the surfaces.
   (7) If you find damage :
     (a) Refer to the ASRM SRM 511100 for the classification of the damage.
     (b) If you find corrosion damage:
  • refer to the ASRM SRM 512200 for the general corrosion data
  • refer to the ASRM SRM 51740000 for the repair of the corroded areas.
     (c) If you find other types of damage:
  • Refer to the ASRM SRM 51730000 for the repair of the minor damage.
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-41-00-220-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Special Detailed Inspection Procedure
   (1) Do the special detailed inspection of the aft cargo door lock fittings, and the surrounding structure between FR 53 and FR 55A. Do this from STGR41 RH to the internal part of the door sill, at 6 places NTM 534156.
NOTE: If the inspection areas are painted , before you do the inspection you must:
  • refer to the procedure steps in the NTM NTM 534156, 'Preparation for Inspection'
  • measure the thickness of the paint at the inspection areas
  • make sure that the paint thickness is less than the given limit.
   (2) Write a report about the damage you find during the inspection procedure.
   (3) If you find damage:
     (a) Refer to the ASRM SRM 511100 for the classification of the damage.
     (b) If you find corrosion damage:
  • refer to the ASRM SRM 512200 for the general corrosion data
  • refer to the ASRM SRM 51740000 for the repair of the corroded areas.
     (c) If you find other types of damage:
  • refer to the ASRM SRM 51730000 for the repair of the minor damage.
  • refer to the ASRM SRM 53461101 for the allowable damage data for the latch fittings.
Subtask 53-41-00-220-059-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Special Detailed Inspection Procedure
   (1) Do the special detailed inspection of the aft cargo door lock fittings, and the surrounding structure between FR 56 and FR 58A. Do this from STGR41 RH to the internal part of the door sill, at 6 places NTM 534156.
NOTE: If the inspection areas are painted , before you do the inspection you must:
  • refer to the procedure steps in the NTM NTM 534156, 'Preparation for Inspection'
  • measure the thickness of the paint at the inspection areas
  • make sure that the paint thickness is less than the given limit.
   (2) Write a report about the damage you find during the inspection procedure.
   (3) If you find damage:
     (a) Refer to the ASRM SRM 511100 for the classification of the damage.
     (b) If you find corrosion damage:
  • refer to the ASRM SRM 512200 for the general corrosion data
  • refer to the ASRM SRM 51740000 for the repair of the corroded areas.
     (c) If you find other types of damage:
  • refer to the ASRM SRM 51730000 for the repair of the minor damage.
  • refer to the ASRM SRM 53461101 for the allowable damage data for the latch fittings.

A. Repair of the Surface Protection
   (1) If necessary, repair the paint coatings in the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-003) or (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-001).
Subtask 53-41-00-410-121-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
   (3) Install the AFT cargo-compartment floor-panels 151DF and 151GF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-14-400-001).
   (4) If removed, install the rear additional center tank (Ref. AMM 28-11-27, Page Block 401).
   (5) Close the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (6) Remove the access platform(s).
   (7) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
Subtask 53-41-00-410-121-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
   (3) Install the AFT cargo-compartment floor-panels 151VG and 151ZG (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-14-400-001).
   (4) If removed, install the rear additional center tank (Ref. AMM 28-11-27, Page Block 401).
   (5) Close the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (6) Remove the access platform(s).
   (7) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

   (6) Remove the access platform(s).
   (7) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
