Subtask 53-41-00-010-220-A
A. Get Access
(1) Remove the upper sidewall panels and the lower sidewall panels from the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-43-000-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-000-001) and (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
(2) Remove the insulation blankets from the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
Subtask 53-41-00-860-101-A (1) Remove the upper sidewall panels and the lower sidewall panels from the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-43-000-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-000-001) and (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
(2) Remove the insulation blankets from the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
NOTE: Identify the insulation blankets for installation.
(3) If necessary, remove the air distribution riser-ducts to get access to the inspection areas at FR54 and FR56 (Ref. AMM TASK 21-20-00-010-001). B. Preparation of the Inspection Areas
(1) Make sure that the surfaces of the inspection areas are clean and smooth.
(3) Make sure that the inspection areas are dry before you continue.
(4) If necessary, make the surface of the inspection areas smooth with the CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 280).
(5) Do a visual inspection of the inspection areas. Look for damage and defects in the shape of the external surface.
(6) If you find damage :
(a) Refer to the ASRM SRM 511100 for the class of damage.
(b) If you find corrosion damage:
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the surfaces of the inspection areas are clean and smooth.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(2) If necessary, clean the inspection areas with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) . (3) Make sure that the inspection areas are dry before you continue.
(4) If necessary, make the surface of the inspection areas smooth with the CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 280).
(5) Do a visual inspection of the inspection areas. Look for damage and defects in the shape of the external surface.
(6) If you find damage :
(a) Refer to the ASRM SRM 511100 for the class of damage.
(b) If you find corrosion damage:
- refer to the ASRM SRM 512200 for the general corrosion data
- refer to the ASRM SRM 51740000 for the repair of the corroded areas.
- Refer to the ASRM SRM 51730000 for the repair of the minor damage.
Subtask 53-41-00-220-104-A
A. Special Detailed Inspection
(1) Do a special detailed inspection of the frame splices and the adjacent area above the STGR18 RH, NTM 534106.
(a) For A318, do this between FR58 and FR60.
(b) For A319, A320 and A321, do this between FR53 and FR56.
(2) Write a report if you find damage during the inspection procedure.
(3) If you find damage:
(a) Refer to the ASRM SRM 511100 for the class of damage.
(b) If you find corrosion damage:
5. Close-up(1) Do a special detailed inspection of the frame splices and the adjacent area above the STGR18 RH, NTM 534106.
(a) For A318, do this between FR58 and FR60.
(b) For A319, A320 and A321, do this between FR53 and FR56.
(2) Write a report if you find damage during the inspection procedure.
(3) If you find damage:
(a) Refer to the ASRM SRM 511100 for the class of damage.
(b) If you find corrosion damage:
- refer to the ASRM SRM 512200 for the general corrosion data
- refer to the ASRM SRM 51740000 for the repair of the corroded areas.
- refer to the ASRM SRM 51730000 for the repair of the minor damage
- refer to the ASRM SRM 53001202 for the correct repair procedure.
Subtask 53-41-00-370-082-A
A. Repair of the Surface Protection
(1) If necessary, repair the paint layer(s) in the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-003) or (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-001).
Subtask 53-41-00-410-215-A (1) If necessary, repair the paint layer(s) in the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-003) or (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-001).
B. Close Access
(1) If necessary, install the air distribution riser-ducts at FR54 and FR56 (Ref. AMM TASK 21-20-00-410-001)
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Install the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(4) Install the upper sidewall panels and the lower sidewall panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-43-400-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-400-001) and (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) If necessary, install the air distribution riser-ducts at FR54 and FR56 (Ref. AMM TASK 21-20-00-410-001)
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Install the insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-400-001).
(4) Install the upper sidewall panels and the lower sidewall panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-43-400-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-400-001) and (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
