Lock Fittings of the AFT cargo Door and their adjacent StructureSubtask 53-41-00-010-155-A
A. Get Access
(1) Open the AFT cargo compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in the required position.

(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in the required position.
B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Remove the TPS layer, if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If not, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Remove the TPS layer, if it does not let you do a satisfactory inspection (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).

A. General Visual Inspection
(1) Do a general visual inspection of the external part of the lock fittings of the AFT cargo door and the adjacent structure between FR58 and FR59A (4 places). Look for dents, scratches and cracks.
Subtask 53-41-00-916-084-A (1) Do a general visual inspection of the external part of the lock fittings of the AFT cargo door and the adjacent structure between FR58 and FR59A (4 places). Look for dents, scratches and cracks.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the ASRM SRM 53414901 for the allowable damage limits.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the ASRM SRM 53414902 for the correct repair procedure.
B. Application of Temporary Protection System
(2) If there is a TPS layer, do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(4) If you used solvents, high-pressure water, steam and/or cleaning agents to clean the TPS layer:
(a) Apply a full new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) on the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(b) If there is no TPS layer, apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) on the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(5) Remove the masking paper or the masking tape.
5. Close-upWARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION ON THE OXYGEN SYSTEMS.
MAKE SURE THAT THE TEMPORARY PROTECTION DOES NOT GET:
(1) Apply masking paper or masking tape Adhesive Film Tape-Masking - - (Material No.05RDA1) on the equipment and fittings adjacent to the area. - ON COMPOSITE PARTS, CONTROL CABLES, PULLEYS,TEFLON BEARINGS.
- ON LUBRICATED SURFACES.
- IN DRAIN VALVES OR OTHER ORIFICES.
(2) If there is a TPS layer, do a check of the condition and integrity of the TPS layer (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
NOTE: Airbus recommends that you always apply a new layer of TPS. This is to make sure that the TPS layer continues to give satisfactory corrosion protection. Make sure that the TPS layer is in the correct condition after the check. If the TPS is in the correct condition, apply a new layer as a spray on the remaining layer.
(3) Replace the damaged TPS layer with a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) on the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001). (4) If you used solvents, high-pressure water, steam and/or cleaning agents to clean the TPS layer:
(a) Apply a full new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) on the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(b) If there is no TPS layer, apply a new layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) on the inspection area (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
(5) Remove the masking paper or the masking tape.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the AFT cargo compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
